Asian Box — Restaurant in California

My friends and I spotted this restaurant near our terminal and decided to stop by because the menu caught our eye. There were two ways to order: using the kiosks hidden on the left side of the entrance or at the front counter. My friends ordered at the counter, while I used the kiosk to browse the pictures and read the ingredients.

I ordered the Vietnamese hot chicken, and my friends got the chicken and veggie green curry and the brunch box. Although we all placed our orders around the same time, it took twice as long for me to receive my food. The restaurant itself has very limited seating, but there is an open dining area outside.

Overall thoughts: Vietnamese hot chicken: The chicken was tender, and the spice was flavorful, not just spicy. Best Asian airport food I’ve ever had, the chef’s salad with the marinated chicken was outstanding (bun dac biet for my viet people) the chef salad had so much flavor and the vinaigrette was amazing.

The shrimp spring rolls (really summer rolls aka Goi Cuon) was very good. I’ve had airport summer/spring rolls before and most times the meat was dried out but the shrimp was perfectly tender.

The banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) was pretty good, the lemongrass pork was fantastic and tender and flavorful but the bread was really doughy it could’ve been a flatter or toasted bread.

Lastly I wanted some broth so I asked for a small side of pho broth and the owner in the black hat and black shirt just gave me a full size cup for free and even asked if I wanted herbs in it. Spectacular service. 10/10 Asian food for airport standards — better than...

Looking for some Asian food at SFO near G gates? This place is the bomb! Did I just say that at the airport? I mean this place is 🔥🔥🔥. Food is so good, locally sourced ingredients, healthy portions and delicious all in compostable packaging. I got the Vietnamese Hot Chicken with an additional side of steamed broccoli. Delicious!
