Chabelo's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in California

I usually don't like to post bad reviews, but this place was just not very good. My wife had heard that it was supposed to be good, so we went. The ambience was very average, hole-in-the-wall, which I usually don't mind when the food is good. Too bad the food couldn't make up for it. We got the chicken tortilla soup, a few soft tacos, a few crunchy tacos, and a quesadilla. Not one thing was close to being good, which is too bad. Could not even finish the food we got, it was just plain bad. I honestly don't understand how this place is rated so highly. They use microwaves to heat up a lot of their food. I could do that at home and it would be just as good, or...

I noticed this place when I went to use the ATM nearby, gave it a try and was impressed with what I found. The grilled chicken and veggies plate was delicious, the portion was generous and taste was good. The plate also comes with a small salad served with average and generic industrial supply, tasting dressing. The salsa bar was quite good with a nice tangy salsa Verde that was on the chunky side, and a hotter, roasted red salsa that also was very good.

The beans was cold the rice is cold They cook the meat up probably earlier in the week and when you order it they're throwing on a grill to heat it up I get place to eat at all don't waste your money. Go to the taco trucks you no you will get it hot Somebody tell me how hard is it to throw steak on the grill and cook it fresh. I'm saying my drivers are so picky it's because we're limited to money out here and when you spend $15 on a meal it's better be good or you We have to get it right or we don't eat...
