Yesterday around 3pm, I felt crumby like I was at the beginning of a sickness and decided to get some pho. I went in alone and in very casual clothing (hoodie and pants) and no make up. I’m not sure if that’s why it felt like they didn’t take me seriously as a customer, but after reading some other reviews, it seems they don’t always have the best customer service.
I was the only person in the whole restaurant, and I ordered a large pho bo with filet mignon, tendon and beef balls and coconut juice. The girl that took my order didn’t write anything down, which I didn’t think anything of since I was the only person there. When my order came out, the soup had no filet mignon and tripe instead of tendon. I’m not usually one to complain in restaurants or make a fuss about wrong orders, but I didn’t get my coconut juice either so I flagged someone down and asked for my drink and explained I wanted tendon and not tripe. I’m not a huge fan of tripe but I didn’t want them to have to make a whole other order of soup, so I asked for a side order of tendon. They were nice enough about it and brought it out to me. When I got my check I saw that my order said no filet mignon for some reason, but they didn’t charge me for the side order of tendon, which was nice.
Overall the food was good and the atmosphere is nice and I still ended up giving them a 20% tip because the service industry sucks. Maybe next time I come in, I won’t come alone and I’ll be better dressed and they might...
Read moreI have been a big fan ever since moving here from the Bay Area almost two years ago. It was really tough to find wonderful and authentic Vietnamese food in Granite Bay, so I was overjoyed to find this spot. It was close by and consistently delicious. Tonight is August 7th 2024, and my daughter went in for just an order of spring rolls to share at 8:30pm. We walked and in and were barely greeted by the person at the desk. Instead of saying hello pleasantly, which takes next to zero energy— he just said take out? I said, no just dine in for an order of spring rolls to share. He then so rudely shrugged his shoulders and said no — No? I said, you don’t close until 9pm and it’s 8:30, and we’re sharing one order of food that you don’t even have to cook — in the most disrespectful way, he kept saying no. Thirty entire minutes before closing while other people were still dining inside. He offered nothing - no help, no remedy, no nothing. Just a rude attitude, disrespectful and a nonchalant attitude that he could’ve cared less about doing his job and allowing customers to order and eat. I walked out of there so angry and upset and have never been turned away so rudely. This will cost them business and a reputation. We would’ve ordered, eaten and paid before 9pm — shame on him for treating doting customers this way. I’ll make sure to share this...
Read moreI have to say, I'm a little disappointed with the quality of the food today. I have eaten here once before, and the food was pretty good. Not the case today. I ordered a lot of food, according to my co-workers, ($90 worth of food) but I usually do so I can have some for later that day of the next. I order the Chicken Pho, combination fried rice, the combo appetizer, and the pork vermicelli noodles. let me start off with I was not provided with any utensils, no condiments (soy sauce, salt and pepper, sriracha, fish sauce, dipping sauce) nothing. My Pho, the broth had no flavor whatsoever. My combo fried rice was bland and the appetizer place was just blah. No sauces, wilted and in need of some serious help. I gave it a 3 because I know they are better than what they gave me today. The next time I go I am going to eat in as maybe having it delivered compromise the taste of the product. I am hoping that was the issue as I love asian food and it is something different than what I have been having...
