El Super Burrito — Restaurant in California

The only thing "super" about this place is in their name. I've probably passed by this place over a thousand times and I've never tried it. Out of the blue one night, my brother suggested trying this place and I wasn't opposed to it so we did. We both had their "super" burrito with pork, and sadly we both agreed that this was the worst burrito we've had in our lives. No flavor whatsoever, they probably don't even have the actual spit that rotates while grilling the meat; they probably just grilled some meat and threw some flavoring on top. The red sauce on top of the burrito had more flavor than the pork. If this tells you anything, I almost never waste my food but I stopped eating after about 2/3's of it. Absolutely revolting.

Honestly, I think all the rave reviews on yelp come from people who are either drunk or stoned. If you were born without taste buds and your only concern is the sheer quantity of food then this place may be for you. Still, I highly...

California soul, California dreamin’…but they’res no songs about California hunger! I tells ya! From either the heat, the smog, or the constant running around (I’m 67) a fella gets hungery in the city of angels!!!!! Luckly enough Super burrito in Pasadena really filled my suntanned tummy! Me and the wifey decided to stay with some family friends and one morning (after tooo many tequila sunrises) we were starving like the folks at ashwitz! Now I’ll tell ya again, I’ve never had carne asada fries in my life, but boy howdy were they DELICIOUS! The portions were just right for an Ohio boyo like me, and the hot sauce was just the right temp! They. Even thoghjt in some extra peppers! Wifey got the Cali burrito! Which had fries in it! Wow! Thbak you super burrito. Big love and big waves...

My husband and I love this place so much that we almost took our engagement pics here (it closed during the beginning of Covid)!!

Their mini breakfast burritos and tacos (carne asada and el pastor) are soo delicious!! Chips and salsa comes with the orders too. We usually order to go so when we dined in, we saw there barely were any chips on the plate. However, when we requested more, they gave us a plate full!!

Today was perfect weather for dining in the shade but outside with the breeze. I always love the little tiny chickadee birds that are near the bridge garden area. So cute! It adds to the environment and they do a good job decorating as well!

Love this place and recommend it for affordable and delicious tacos!
