Five Guys — Restaurant in California

Very Clean! Exterior, interior, restroom, almost immaculate. I love the setup. you can see the entire kitchen and all the employees as they work, providing a transparency of service in the preparation of your food you don't get in most places. Subway and other made-to-order sandwich shops come to mind but that's about it. You can SEE how clean the work areas are and the equipment, and all they have to do is turn around to communicate with each other over the top of the (polished?! I swear it gleamed) stainless steel equipment in the kitchen area, making it a snap for them to identify any potential issues with an order. And Friendly. Maybe the friendliest staff of any Burger joint I've ever been in. I'm a forty year old overweight 6'4 white male, and I have experienced subtle racisms sometimes because of it. Not here:) The guy taking my order was black and offered me a free cup of water Twice while I waited for the food, (take out), the order had been placed ahead but the (black) female in charge of preparation of the order waited until I told them I was there before dropping the fries, so I had to wait about three minutes but did so gladly for some piping hot fresh fries, which looked smelled and tasted delicious. After she handed me the order AND included napkins without asking (holy cow;) I fell in love with the whole crew as I got wished a good evening by the two employees I had interacted with, Then another employee, (again, black;) who had finished his shift was leaving just ahead of me, held the door open for me and after I expressed my thanks he replied cheerfully, "Of Course!". The entire experience, lasting less than five or six minutes totally made my day, and I will absolutely be back for more. Sorry for the not too good review here. The reason why I ordered a burger via mobile app on this location is that according to the website, it offers a curbside pickup. And just call them once I arrive. I did call them and let them know that I am already outside and have them do the curbside pickup. The one who answered the phone told me that they don't offer curbside pickup. I explained to him my situation and that I am a person with physical challenges. He was not considerate enough to help me. So I have no choice but to get out of my car, and I am really struggling due to my limited mobility. Upon approaching the store, I was waiting to see if an attendant would open the door for me. Unfortunately, nobody helped me. One of the customers was kind enough to open the door. Cut the long story short. Once I'm inside to pick up my mobile order, the service attendant told me that I would have called and had them deliver my food in my car. He sounded like he was the one who answered the call when I called earlier. I just decided not to argue with him. I just left the store. Another customer helped me open the door again. I'm not sure if I'm going back to this location due to very poor...

We had burgers and fries..... But they have many dishes to choose from! Sorry everyone, but I forgot to take my camera for food pics. I definitely do it next time. I not only checked out my order, but talked to other people for their input and came to the conclusion that their ingredients used for ALL of the dishes is as FRESH AS CAN BE GOTTEN, short of growing and producing it all at the restaurant. Very friendly 😊 staff, very fresh ingredients and dishes that are prepared professionally ALL make for a fantastic meal. We will certainly be up for a return visit!🤗. Oh ya,. Almost forgot to mention that at most restaurants I always order a "large fries", but at Five Guys if you get the Large..., that will usually feed 3-4 people.
