Questionable business practices; would not recommend. My first experience with Rogers was a positive one--where I had a ring resized. So I brought back another ring for resizing and modification. I wanted the stones switched out to the loose stones provided as well as resizing it as well. This time, the experience was not a positive one. Dropped off Saturday, didn't hear back from their Jeweler till Tuesday afternoon; they wanted to charge me $2,500 for that modification because it needs a new crown. Mind you, I provided the stones, and the ring. All that needs to be done is switching out the stones and resizing. At $2,500, I could have bought a new ring. I bought the ring for my now wife when we were broke college students as a promise ring. It cost $400, 14k, .5 carats (crap diamonds), so nothing special, but has significant sentimental value. Which is why I wanted to switch out the stones and keep the ring in tact. The fact that Rogers tried to charge me $2500 to do that is ridiculous. So of course I told them not to do the mod and just resize the ring. I get a second offer to do it at ~$800. That is a significant price reduction. Red flag. Still a no, because of the sentimental value. So they ask me to call them. Starting to feel like greasy car salesmanship situation, so I cancel the order and will be going to pick up the ring a week later, with nothing done. Complete waste of my time. I would suggest you find other more honest and skillful jewelers that can charge a single fair price and have to deal with this kind of sleaze. Would not be returning or...
Read moreReading some other's reviews I had to chuckle a bit, because when my fiancé & I visited last night I was FAR from presentable, same goes for my fiance lol. I have spent the last 5 months frustrated beyond belief with another jewelery store over my engagement ring. Correction, OLD engagement ring. We walked into Roger's with no expectations & no plan to spend money (simply because the other jeweler has yet to issue the refund checks) however, Todd, was great. He showed me everything I wanted, discussed all of my concerns, treated me & my fiancé with respect. We were given in-house finance options so we didnt have to dip into savings or put on credit (waiting on the refund from the other jeweler) and we got to take my NEW engagement ring home!! I am beyond pleased with the experience here at Roger's and more so with the price, my princess cut halo engagement ring is perfect & I was extremely pleased to learn about Triton men's rings & the warranty (which we will be purchasing here as well). Sorry for the novel, but after what I have been through the last few months with the other jeweler I am a very happy customer & recommend Roger's to anyone, especially if you have had a not so pleasant experience with another jeweler. Go see Todd & allow him to do what...
Read moreI had a big ring stuck on my right finger that I needed to be taken off. I was fortunate to choose Rogers Jewelry Co. in Elk Grove to go for this. First of all, I called them and spoke with the Sales staff who sounded so courteous and polite, which encouraged me to try them. Right as I stepped into the Jewelry Shop, I was greeted by Saige Zapien whom I had spoken with on the phone earlier. We then started the arduous task of trying to get the ring off. Because my ring was not made of pure gold or pure silver and was very thick, it proved to be difficult to cut. Saige and Todd were relentless, patient and professionally creative in trying to help me get the ring off. They tried many techniques throughout the process, regardless that it was taking longer than if the ring was made of gold. Todd was prepared to allow Saige report to work a little later the next morning as it appeared he was going to work on my ring beyond closing time. Fortunately, the ring came off just on time. I can’t find enough superlatives to describe my experience. They are courteous, patient, creative, painstaking, professional, amazing and highly efficient. I am very satisfied and I highly recommend them. Great...
