This was our first visit to Fuji Sushi. We were invited to meet family there on a Friday evening. My initial impression was that it was difficult to tell from the outside if they were open. There was no exterior lighting or windows visible to provide a clue because of the entrance facade. The crowd was made up of young parents and children as well as couples. They all looked like they had been here before. The place was lively with loud conversations. One recommendation I would make is to make reservations and to be sure your entire party arrives at the same time. You will not be seated until that happens. There is a food bar with the little boats of food floating by with premade small dishes. Or you can sit at a regular table. Service is provided with your initial order of drinks and appetizers; which were too greasy for me. For the main meal you need to go to the food bar line and tell the sushi chef what you want. You can wait for your order or you can try to listen for it from your table when it is yelled out. I am not an experienced sushi eater so I try to stay with rolls that are either baked or deep fried. I had the spicy jonni roll, which I don”t see on their menu at the time of this review. I loved it. Three times. Fuji Sushi is a buffet and their per-person prices as reasonable, unless if you’re a child or not that hungry. For the four of us with drinks, appetizers, meal, and tip it was over $200 dollars. Not bad and very comparable to any other outing. Would I go back? I don’t believe so, based on the overall experience.

BEBACK rating- most likely It’s been a long time between this visit and the last time I was here. I’m glad it is still open. Anyway, the bad: 1. I had the miso soup and the egg drop soup that they have at the side of the main area. The miso was about as good as any other Japanese restaurant but the egg drop soup was bland. In fact, it seemed like I was eating thickened water. 2. I was very disappointed when I watched an employee serve himself food on a used plate instead of a new one. The serving spoon he used touched the plate which had leftover whatever. People! At a buffet, use a new plate! No one wants to use a serving spoon that may have your saliva on it. Well, maybe it’s ok at home when eating with your family, I guess. Here’s the good: 1. The tuna collar is still excellent. If you don’t know, the collar is usually where you’ll get the best flavor of the tuna. 2. I’m glad they still have the deep fried oysters and soft shell crab. We had the oysters, flavorful, although I prefer larger pieces that explode with the oyster juice when you bite it- like at your small fish and chips joints. 3. The sushi boats are entertaining and practical since you can actually see what your choosing instead of looking at a picture of it on a menu. 4. Lastly, the bussers and water servers were on the ball and came by often to remove dishes and to make sure our water and tea was not empty. All in all, I will continue to recommend this restaurant despite the no-no by the employee.

My friend wanted me to try this place. I love sushi...but it must be cooked...I cannot eat raw fish..the texture makes me gag...sorry... I agreed to come... When you walk in...you are greeted right away... Upon entering there is a little chinese food buffet with egg rolls...general chicken...salt and pepper shrimp...rice...chow mein... If you sit at the bar and order the all you can eat...this is included. The staff were very attractive...the rolls came out fast. The reason my review only gets 1 star...the food on the buffet was cold...there is no menu...that you can look at and see what can be ordered in a roll that is cooked. I have been to Aji sushi and loved it...that's where I wanted to go...but he wanted to come here. You sit at a bar area and can pick sushi up from these little boats...the boats are so darn cute...the only problem..if you do not know what is on or in the roll..how does one know if they like it...well..I tried about 3 different rolls and did not like any of them... So I shared some fried shrimp..that was good...and the salt and pepper shrimp were good...and 2 sesame balls. I will not come back...I would have liked it more if there was a menu that you can read from and order like other places...oh well...it was an experience...but I told him..that place is a no.

i have came here many times and i would like to update my review.

i came here over the weekend on a saturday morning around 11 15am. we were lucky that day wasn't too crowded or busy. we didn't have to wait and went straight in and got seated in a table for 5.

for the line situation it is usually packed. i mean no joke be there 30 mins early to get in line fore they open because there are usually people lingering waiting for it to open for lunch or dinner. if you want to sit near the sushi bar then at east 30 mins ahead of time. if just tables then 15 mins ahead before opening time.

as soon as you get seated you are free to get what ever you want from the sushi boat or the food on display hear the ends of the sushi boats. they usually have lots of rolls already made and you can just grab them. sometimes they have the sushi chefs shouting out sashimi or sear sashimi spicy or non spicy with special sauces in them, or deep fried tempura shrimp, oysters or soft shell crab or mix tempura with a little bit of everything. you can always order with them too. just don't be shy to shout or say it in a loud voice because its loud inside and they might not be able hear you.

some tips for ordering through the busy sushi chef, speak loud so they can hear you when you order the sashimi make sure you tell them what you want. theres salmon, tuna, saba, hamachi, shrimp, octopus, and etc. when you order their sashimi, tell them the size of it. a small can feed 2 people. med can feed 3 to 4. large can feed 4 to 6. they also have seared sashimi which can be spicy or non spicy due to request. also tell them the size and which fish. i had the spicy pepper fin and omg it was amazing! you can order the fried oyster, shrimp, soft shel crab or a mix of it all. just say mix tempura if you want a little bit of everything to discover what you favorite is. also the grilled hamachi kama which is fish neck. it has a large bone with meat on the side and its amazing! they also have raw oyster half shell too. they also carry tobiko which is fish caviar and topped with a quail egg which is raw too, this is perfect for instagraming hehe. also they have hand rolls too, some famous hand rolls is called the spider hand roll, one of my favorite creations from me is the avocado and tobiko which is amazing, with the smooth creamy texture of avocado with the popping crisp fish eggs. also they have custom sushi rolls, just tell them what you want inside and they will make it for you.

the service is always pretty good. they will come by your table and clear your empty plates. they also refill your water often so thats a plus. the layout of the inside is big so its great for large parties. also there are lots of parking so parking isn't a issue. also if your not a fan of raw sushi, don't worry they have cook sushi rolls too. also they have a chinese hot food section with chow mien, fried rice, to egg rolls, and mixed vegetables stir fry, pot stickers, egg rolls, and teriyaki chicken sticks to desserts and fresh fruits. overall its a amazing place to come here and try it. bring your first time relatives to come here and usually it will impress them. if you like my review don't forget to add or follow me and read some more. thanks...

This place has gone downhill in the past 6 months to a year. The hours have changed and the quality of sushi has gotten worse. I had no idea of their hours changing and went to lunch today at 1:30. Instead of telling me they weren't accepting anyone coming in anymore they sat me and my family and told us they were closing at 2 pm. The sushi they served was all filled with artificial crab and heavy mayo, nothing raw.

Promptly at 2 pm they started shutting down and taking everything out so there wasn't any food left. Why not just tell your customer you're not accepting anyone after 1:30 because you're switching over for the dinner service instead of taking all the food out and shutting down? We were told we could finish what we had gotten but they were closing. Their hours used to be open until 3 pm for lunch and I had no idea they had changed this.

It cost 3 people 70 bucks for 30 minutes of being able to eat there and the food wasn't even good. We were essentially rushed out the door too. I won't be going here again and I think the ownership has changed hands and the new owners keep making things worse. Sushi quality has gone down the drain and the last time I went a few months ago they had changed their hours from stopping lunch 3 pm and opening at 4 pm to stopping lunch at 2 pm and opening at 5 pm for dinner.

Next time when you change your hours like this you should make it really well known to your customers, and instead of sitting people 30 minutes before you close to take their money anyways tell them you are closing in 30 minutes and not accepting customers until...

Could not believe my ears today. I have eaten at Fuji dozens of times and had always had a good experience, though after experiencing todays little incident I will never come back. My husband and kids were there today for dinner celebrating our anniversary. We had a good meal and laugh, it was time to go and I saw that i had only a $5 and a $100. I left the five on the table and thought to come right back to the table to leave more after I'd pay and gotten change. As I was walking away towards the front desk to pay, I hear from one of the waiters who has been workkng there for awhile say (these f..... cheapskates). I was so upset I wanted to go back and tell him this f.... cheapskate wants her $5 back, because at this point he didnt deserve anything. I decided not to turn around because what would have come out of my mouth would have been more unpleasant then anything I would have made everyone around uncomfortable. Though that was not my intention to ruin anyone elses dinner just because my had been. I continued towards the desk biting my tongue, paid and walked out. Once outside, meeting again with my husband and kids who had walked out infront of me, I say we are never coming back no matter how good the food is. To some it might be ridiculous, but I have been a busser, waitress, host and assistant manager and have never treated or talked behind a customer like that. I never know what the situation is that they cant leave you more. You just continue with a smile on your face and do your job and if you cant do that, then maybe that isnt the type of...
