⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Roundhouse Deli – A Hidden Gem in Elk Grove
We stopped by Roundhouse Deli during the lunch rush and instantly knew we were in the right place — the line was full of city workers, FedEx drivers, and several police officers (some in uniform, some in plain clothes). Always a good sign!
We ordered burgers, tri-tip tacos, and a pastrami on rye Reuben — and everything was absolutely delicious. The tri-tip in the tacos was thin-sliced and piled high. The burgers were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The pastrami was also thin-cut but generously stacked, making the sandwich thick and satisfying. The fries were hot, crispy, and the perfect side.
It’s a small deli with limited indoor and outdoor seating, so we took our food to go. Despite the busy lunch crowd, service was quick and friendly.
We missed the breakfast menu (ends at 10:30 AM), but we’ll definitely be back soon to try the breakfast burritos. This place is going straight into our regular...
Read moreI go to this place often because it's near my work. I always get the veggie burrito and add 3 ounces of tri-tip for a extra charge of course, and it's always been good big burrito. But this past Saturday, things went south. This burrito cost me $14 it wasn't worth the money paid for the portion that I got. Look at the picture 🙈
I called in my order ahead of time, and the guy said it'd be ready in 10 minutes. I get there 15 minutes later, pay for my food, and it's not even ready yet. To make matters worse, some dude who ordered after me gets his food before me! 😡
When I finally get my burrito, it's all messed up. It's missing the potatoes, and smaller then usual it's just a sad it's excuse for a burrito. I've been going there for 3yrs now, and this is the first time I've had a bad experience. 😤
I don't know what happened, but if they keep this up, they're gonna lose me as a customer. #BadExperience...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. Disgusting place. Went in and ordered pastrami sandwich. Paid $12.51. Waited and watched the sandwich made. Non of these employees wear gloves. If you are preparing food, gloves needs to be worn. Food handling 101. Don't touch food with bare hands. Disgusting and disturbing. The cashier gave me the sandwich and I asked why you don't wear gloves. She just shook her head and raised her shoulders as if saying "I don't know". She then stated that "we wash our hands constantly". As if that is believable! The dude preparing the sandwich was touching all kinds of surfaces and then touched my sandwich. I told the cashier that was Disgusting. I left the sandwich on the counter and walked out. Didn't ask for a refund. I rather lose 12 bucks then have diarrhea or health issues. I'll be reporting this place to dirty dining and...
