Another awesome restaurant opened in Elk Grove. Recently, I tried this Taiwanese restaurant with my family. From outside this place doesn't look like it will be big however inside they have plenty of tables.
We went during their lunch hour service. With every meal, they serve cold ice tea, black or green tea. My husband liked their black tea whereas my preference was green tea. Black tea was a little strong for my taste..
Food was good but I expected more. We ordered the seafood and beef hot pot. Depending on your dish, the price differs. The broth tasted delicious. And you can always request for more.
Service was on point.
By the time, we left the restaurant there was a long line. We were glad that we reached there when it opened.
My friends love this place. One of my friend suggested to bring own Chillies from home because their broth is not that spicy. I agree with friend.
Parking : plenty of space. It's a shared Parking lot...

He then tossed the dirty towel back into the red bucket. Without washing his hands after the clean up, he picked up some clean bowls, chopsticks, and napkins to set up the table for the next group of hungry diners. I imagine this being a common practice in most restaurants but seeing it happened was gross. During my visit, I only observed one staff wearing gloves. Hopefully he changed them between cleaning and handling...
Read moreIt seems like these hot pot places are popping up every day! Good thing most of them are good and Tasty Pot definitely is one worth checking out. Basic idea is pick one of the 12 hotpot options ranging from beef or lamb, seafood and even a vegetarian option. Broth is full of flavor and your pot comes loaded with a shopping list of items including various vegetables, fish balls and cakes, noodles, egg. The items from pot to pot can be different so read the description carefully. You get to pick your spice level. I went a little less heat as there are 3 sauces on the table you can use to add heat (garlic sauce, chilli oil and spicy soybean sauce). My friend and I each got a small pot and were stuffed...the largest must be meant...
