Golden Dragon — Restaurant in Elk Grove

Yum! My favorite dish here is probably salt and pepper prawns. It is delightful! Lightly breaded, with lightly cooked slices of onion and deseeded jalapeños. Oh, yum. Their salt and pepper tofu is good, too--I tried to take an order home and wound up eating it like popcorn on the drive home (it smelled so good that I couldn't resist). Chow fun, green beans in garlic sauce, oh, so many good things to eat here. Keep in mind, I grew up on Chinese food (grew up in Hawai'i, live in a Chinese town), so I am picky. The one k8nd of weird thing is they don't have a pork section on the menu; the only pork I've seen is char siu. I do recommend this restaurant. Who doesn't love great Chinese food?! If you don't, then you need to try this place because they will change your opinion. The staff is so friendly and the food - oh its so good! If we don't dine-in, then we call ahead of time and order to-go - either way, we never have waited more than 10-15 minutes to have our order ready. And if all else fails, they deliver!

Our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) order the Deluxe dinner for 2 and we all get at least 2 servings out of this dinner. My husband loves the Generals Chicken and I love their S/S Pork

General chicken dinner plate was good but chicken just a tad dry a few pieces were nice and soft/juicy not spicy at all which I wish it was. I also got a side of honey walnut shrimp I love the sauce on those plus soft and flavorful! I got a lychee mai tai it was good at first but I’m a bit picky with alcoholic drinks so once I got half way I tasted the liquor a tad more, but the flavor of the lychee and mango in it is very good and are complimentary flavors. Noodles and fried rice were yummy, potstickers not bad overall food was 8/10!!! The place of the restaurant is a decent size it’s a neat spot.
