Golden Donuts — Restaurant in California

My sisters and I were I. Town for the week and we’re really excited to get some boba. We ordered and got everything, thinking it was correct.

I had ordered a boba iced tea and a pizza bagel. I specifically asked for no pepperoni on it because I do not eat meat. After getting my bagel, I’m about to eat it and see pepperoni hidden under the cheese.

So I ask if I can get it with out again, I can’t because they come premade, yet no one told me that.

So I just asked if I could get a refund because I don’t eat any meat and that was one of the vegetarian options.

They told me to pick anything on the menu instead of getting a refund and when I ask for something else they said it’s more money and that my new item has to be the same price.

So I just caved and got something.

Then as I’m waiting for the new bagel to be done, I’m thinking atleast this boba iced tea is great…. There’s a HAIR in my boba. 🥲

What I thought was going to be a great experience just went...

I got an iced coffee and a singlr donut. Total was $7.75. Seems a little ridiculous on price if you ask me.

The coffee was an espresso shot mixed with syrup and milk. If you wanted it sweetened with syrup or any flavor, it was an additional 25 cents. Basically, it's a latte when I just wanted a simple iced coffee.

The donut, on the other hand, was pretty good. They asked if I wanted it warmed up, and I said no....however, they proceeded to warm it up because one of the ladies in back said they had to warm it up to make it taste better.... so that tells me it must be pretty bad when it's room temp? Overkill on the service, especially when it wasn't necessary.

The location is a little rough... tight parking and hard to access when theres a lot of traffic. I'd go back to try...

You have been warned. My wife and I came to this place for milkshakes. I noticed they pulled the milk out of a refrigerator that wasn’t plugged in. The door was just kept cracked open like no big deal. I asked if the milk was warm and spoiled and they said no the fridge is fine. I say no thank you never mind and they all of a sudden didn’t know not one English word. They got defensive and continued to ignore me asking for my money. Keep in mind the milkshakes are never even made. They blatantly kept our money. No shakes no money. Not sure if they do this all the time but anyone willing to serve spoiled milk should not be trusted with...
