Booked this location for one night through Agoda, had a coupon for 9% off in total i paid $87. I felt it was a good price, the area was quiet at least through the night & yes the rooms are as pictured and don't smell like smoke BUT when i finally laid down there seemed to be dust on the top sheet way too close to the pillows. When i arrived at 6pm to check in, the owner/manager took my ID and asked if i wanted to cover my SECURITY DEPOSIT with cash. Apparently this location takes a $100 security deposit, which was not an issue but why wasn't i charged prior or told that i couldn't get the SMOKING room Agoda let me book because according to the owner his rooms are ALL NON SMOKING. I sat in my car from 6pm to 8pm with the Agoda customer service and they confirmed that the location never specified nor should they be asking for any additional funds. I asked the rep to stay on the phone while i finally received my room key. This establishment is convenient because it's so close to LAX and semi clean but because of those factors they are reaching. No one wants to pay an extra $100 to smoke in an hotel room, because if you decide to smoke in any of their rooms you won't get your security deposit back. Upon check out the owner tried to explain that he charges a deposit because of another customer who stayed there and caused damages. I told him i didn't care since he had me sitting for an hour waiting on a room i had already paid for AND they lied to Agoda, claiming i was asking for "special accommodations" i didn't know a smoking room fell under that category. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you have no other choice. Side note; housekeeping is up at 9:30, LOUD, conversations and Spanish...
Read moreVery disappointed in this hotel. Stayed here on 3 different occasions, the first time was cool which made me stay here again but after that it was all down hill. CHECK THE BED! When we came the 1st time we noticed that the comforter had a weird looking stain on it, but we looked passed it. The next day we decided at the last minute to stay here again and ironically we ended up getting the same room and yup you guessed it THE SAME STAIN WAS THERE! but it was late so again we looked passed it. Against my better judgment we decided about a week later to stay here again because the price was right. Different room this time but as soon as we walked in we immediately noticed a huge foot print on the comforter and another weird stain on the pillow, so this time we requested another room, the guy walks in with no mask during covid 19 and tried to wipe off the foot print... I was in shock for a while. He then takes us to another room and boom immediately we see a blood stain on the comforter. I ask him do you guys wash the comforters after people check out, he avoids the question by all cost then gets extremely rude and says we are being picky 🤦🏾♂️ then continues to make insulting comments and gets in my face. That’s where the line was drawn and things got pretty heated. I requested a refund and he said no we can just get another room... this story goes on and on but I’ll end it there. Bottom line is I’ll never stay here again and I wonder if he was the owner, if not the owner needs to know how this guy is...
Read moreStayed at the Trend Hotel recently for a quick stopover, and it was by far the cheapest place in the area. $0 for parking, $0 for wifi and the overnight rate was around $30-40 cheaper than everything else around. The hotel itself presents from the street as just another run-of-the-mill drive up motels that you see everywhere around LA, however Trend seems to have undergone a recent refurbishment.||||Rooms are large, clean and well decorated. Nothing overly fancy ... just enough for what you need. The TV, wifi and all other amenities all work perfectly and the bed is very comfortable. 1 thing,as in most cheaper hotels I see these days, is that their bed pillows are the smaller cushion type. For people like me who are used to sleeping with king pillows, it is a little frustrating trying to re arrange the multiple small pillows in to a comfortable position.||||Trend Hotel is also right on Imperial Highway, so if you are a light sleeper the road noise can be a bit annoying when trying to sleep. I always carry earplugs however so it wasn't an...
