We LOVE coming here for our junk food splurge, mostly for the Playland indoor playground. However, we LOVED playing air-hockey, and when they remodeled the Playland and renamed it the "Play Place," they got rid of the air hockey table. We're still bummed about that. But it hasn't stopped us from coming, and meeting up with friends to eat and play together. Ripon's McDonald's doesn't have a Play Place, but this one is very close by, and not Inconvenient to drive to. It's right off the freeway via two different exits north and south of it. We've enjoyed this McDonald's since my daughter was 3 years old, and we still do. PLUS, the manager is AWESOME!! Very kind, very accommodating, likable, and she seems to know what she's doing. She recognizes us and greets us warmly, and we come there a max of 2-3x/month (maybe weekly in the Summertime when we come in only for ice cream cones and to play in the indoor Play Place, or more if we're collecting the Happy Meal toys--Beenie Boos and Shopkins!...gotta have them all!). My daughter has really enjoyed this particular McDonald's over the years....they also usually have the best selection of Happy Meal toys, and are very helpful when we are trying to collect all of a...
Read moreIt's nice with the new remodel. One drawback is that the door by the restrooms is exit only. Just a bit longer walk for handicapped people. Everyone has to come in through the front double doors. Love the cameras in the drive-thru. Safety for the teenagers that man those windows. They still have they change collection box for charity outside the window. Children have their own air conditioned, enclosed area to play in, with seating nearby. You can see children, but not hear them unless you enter the play area. It's actually a very nice play area. Be wary of the soda machine furthest away from the counter. Ice flies out of it!! A small push & you have an overflowing cup, whether you want it or not. The other soda machine has a more controlled flow of ice. Maybe because it's used more & is always making new ice?? Free Wifi. Those that want to study, talk, or just nerd out on their phones & laptops can do so. New items on the menu, with a few bargains. Ladies restroom was nicely upgraded. I would have given 5 stars, but I have to tell you; the ladies room was just about the nastiest one I have ever been in, in my life. Told an employee that it was filthy & was told curtly that it was not her...
Read moreGreat service, clean and friendly environment, but can we talk about this "new McCafe experience? For a service that is only there yo combat Starbucks and Dunkin [which believe me, if they're already paying to drink there, this isn't going to win them over] it's only made ordering coffee a nightmare. Now that all the flavors are "unsweetened," you're constantly asked by staff if you just want the coffee the "old" way, which has cream and sugar. That being said, what's the point of making a new way if you specifically have to ask for the old way now? I miss being able to ask for a regular iced coffee and not have them assume I mean black. Or being able to order my partner a hazelnut iced coffee without having to be reminded that it will be unsweetened unless I have it the old way. McDonald's should consider changing up either how the menu works or how the staff is trained to take the orders, perhaps by changing the "new" way to specifically be called...
