In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Modesto

If you've been there, you probably love it and keep returning. If you haven't been there but you do like burgers, this is a safe bet for quality at a low price. If you're going through the car line, they often walk out and get your order so things move along faster. Many times I've been in a line of more than 20 cars at a time between dining hours.. like 3pm.. but I never let that change my decision to have a yummy burger there. One remarkable point with their burgers is the onions. You can ask for grilled but even raw they are sweet and mild... This place is always always on point. The fries are potatoes cut right there, and the shakes are small and what I would grade as average but satisfying if you need that particular addition to your meal. So.. I went, I waited I WILL return. Nice clean bathrooms inside, great employees- polite and efficient. Good outside and inside accommodations- clean and comfy/sturdy. Lots of parking but pay attention to cars entering and leaving continuously. They do have an unadvertised menu with lettuce wraps instead of buns and some other choices I can't recall, but if you ask for the secret menu or "animal " option menu, they will tell you about it. My favorite is the double double .. 2 patties with cheese on each one because I think the ratios are perfect. But I usually just tear off part of the bun and double my pattie over because I can't finish the double double so I fashion my version of a half portion of double double. I hope this made my points.....

I’ve come to this location on numerous occasions & usually receive the best customer service. Today I was fairly disappointed. I walked in & was looked at by an employee up & down probably because I was wearing a form fitting outfit which didn’t necessarily offend me because it happens everywhere I go but it was something I took notice upon since it was an employee doing the looking. When our number was called, the male employee did not check our receipt & did not ask if we needed anything such as sauces. My boyfriend & I stood there waiting for an employee to become available to which three different ones obviously seen us standing there waiting for something & did not acknowledge us. My boyfriend had to ask an employee that was standing at a register with no customers if we could get a couple of spread packets. I don’t know what reason they would have to purposefully ignore us especially when they became available to ask if we needed anything but it was honestly an uncomfortable feeling I’ve never felt before at this location. update After getting home & actually eating the food, I can’t believe the wilted, soggy lettuce they used or how nasty the fries were. Like they were fried in old, overused oil. They also just like threw the burgers together & made a mess of them. Never been so disappointed in this...

Very frustrated after waiting outside in the drive-thru line on one side at 5:30 Pm (prime dinner time) for 15 mins before the single order-taker informed me (I had to shout to get his attention to ask if he was taking my order after he started taking orders from several people that arrived after me) that there was only the one line, and I'd have to find myself around to that other side if I wanted my order taken. There is zero indication outside your store where this line needs to be, and as I've been here previously, there are usually 2 lines that form on either side, because, again, you have no signing stating where these lines need to be formed, and there are usually 2 people taking orders at this time of the evening since it is usually one of the busiest times. I have no idea the quality of food this time around since I had to leave and find something else to eat that could get my order taken promptly as I was on my lunch hour. It would be nice if it would be better organized like your other nearby locations, like Manteca. You guys are so busy, you should have some one outside directing traffic flow....
