We are regulars at this place for the last 5 months since we move to SJ county. My husband and I come here at least 3 times/week for lunch. The last 3 visits have been a nightmare. We have been served by this same server in the picture. Seems to be that he has an attitude problem or something is wrong in his life because he let's it out on people. No manners, no greetings, but we did not really take it personal because we go there for the food. He always comes to the table and asks "what do you want?". Before we even ask him to please repeat out order, this guy is half way going away. Today the experience was the worst of them all 3 last times. He came, rolled his eyes and proceeded to ask "what do you want?. My husband said, 2 waters and the guy was already on his way. He returned and brought 1 water and tossed the straw on the table, and started going away without taking our order. I proceeded to say "excuse me can you please bring another water" which he quickly engaged into an argument saying I did not tell him what I want, so he brought 1 water for the person that ordered. My husband quickly rectified that he asked for 2 waters. Then this server immediately walked away and make a big situation with the hostess, took several other team members and started pointing at us with fingers, which we clearly did not understand what was his problem. 15 mins later he walked into our table and proceeded to drop the cup of water on the table. At this point I asked him to please send another server, which brought an attitude and another rude response "aha, aha, someone will do, not me". Our food was taken 25 mins later by the hostess, who clearly did not want to serve food nor she had to (because she is clearly busy at the front desk). I did not feel welcome at all despite being a regular. The food that was brought to us had spills all over the bowl of soup, it was cold. The main course "the chicken with garlic sauce" was not well cooked, the meat was still hard and raw and it also had spill all over the plate, the fried rice was burnt. While we started eating this same server was soooo polite and courteous to the adjacent table and the table behind us. At this point I had the sense that we were truly not welcomed (not sure because of our race, looks, or what, considering that customers are mostly Caucasian folks, and we are not "white"), those in the tables around us were all white people. No one came by to ask if we needed or wanted to order anything else. So, By the time we were ready to leave, no one brought our bill, so we had to walk to the front, which is no problem, to request for our bill. We were ignored for around 8 mins before we were given the bill to pay. Really bad experience overall. We will not return to JP moving forward. Such a shame you get a crappy service when you are...

This is the only sushi I’ll ever eat and I always make my way out to make the drive. I took a friend on Wednesday for the first time and she loved the atmosphere and the food was amazing. What was really disappointing was the service. An older asian gentleman was our server who started off very nice, when we ordered drinks he stated “my manager isn’t here so I won’t charge you for the soda”(we had gotten sake and waters additionally). I thought it was odd but thanked him. When he brought the tab, I went to pay with apple pay instantly so I could go back and keep the conversation going with my friend. Mind you I used the last of my balance on my Apple Cash to pay so I didn’t tip on the tab but was planning on leaving cash on the table once we left. The server came to our table almost immediately and opened my tab in front of us and goes sir whats this number? And I respond “98.75, the total amount due and that I paid.” He pointed at the tip section and stated “what no tip?” And I responded “no, no tip on there.” And he glares at me and and raises his hands in the “wtf” notion and raised his voice. “C’mon man!” And shook his head and kept staring as he walked away back to the kitchen. He then comes back to me with another tab, “You’re going to have to pay for that soda”. I looked at him and laughed, i opened my wallet which I had roughly about 500 in cash in $20s. His eyes opened wide and then he looked ashamed and looked down. I handed him a $20, and when he brought it back he didnt state a single thing. I had fully planned on leaving a $20, but with how I was treated in front of a friend after I had hyped up the restaurant and her first time there, I only left $5. Even my friend was uncomfortable and didn’t understand what made him act this way as we were still talking and eating the last of out rolls. She wanted to leave immediately after that. As we walked out he muttered something past me but I didn’t care for it. Upsetting experience which makes me not want to go back but the food is 5/5 so most likely will but only...

Super Disrespectful! My husband and I came here for an early dinner and we were pretty much the only table in there. Everything was fine, the food was just okay in my opinion. Not bad but definitely not enough flavor. We were getting good service (a little too good I felt like we were being watched and rushed which I felt like was unnecessary since no one was in there lol) but everything was coming out very fast which was good. HOWEVER at the end of our dinner after we had payed the bill and were sitting at our table still the guy waiting on us (who I assume was the owner or manager but don't actually know) came back over to our table and pointed to the total my husband paid on the check saying you only left $70 and when my husband said yes he clearly walked away with an attitude. We were gonna leave more of a tip in cash before we left but that still surprised us and we found it very unprofessional. (Our bill was about $60-$65 my husband just made it an even $70 on card and WAS gonna leave a $10 bill) When he came back to our table my husband asked him why he asked about the total and he just said "oh you know what it's about sir" with a smile on his face shaking his head. Then when I was gonna tell him that's very rude and unprofessional to do to paying customers and that we were going to still leave a cash tip he just turned and walked away before we could even say anything! Definitely will never recommend this place or come back the food is nothing special and that kind of service is crazy...

We have been to JP Asian fusion quite a few times within the past few months recommended by our dearest friend Sean Kuykendall. The Asian food is by far the best food I've had in a really long time and I would consider it the restaurant of all Asian food if it wasn't for the last time that I was there I felt like it I was had a very expensive Panda Express. We ordered our food and almost immediately we got it which tells me that they had been keeping the food heated in the back where you can't see it and when I ate the orange chicken on my son's birthday yesterday and that's all he wanted it's as if I was chewing horse hide. I am hoping that this will change the next time I go there because that was only one time this has happened to my family. Which is why I'm giving it an overall five stars except for when it comes to food they get four stars. It has all the amenities and everything looks very professional and very calm not very loud nice and quiet and the music is simplistic and not complicated. The bathrooms are very clean and they have a back room if you wanted to have a party to eat undisturbed. The customer service is very good but they could use more sharpening in that area with the blade of Grace. I would definitely highly recommend anyone and everyone to come and eat here and enjoy very good food just make sure that you ask him that it would be cooked fresh.
