Pizza Twist — Restaurant in California

I've been on a plant based diet for the last 3 months. It's been very hard and I'm still learning what is a good "imitation" and what shouldn't be eaten by anyone, ever. I prefer things for what they are verses what they've been made to taste or have the texture of. Anyway, pizza has been one food that I've missed the most. If I could only eat dairy... So it was a late lunch day and I couldn't leave work to pick up food so I headed to Door Dash. I searched "vegan" and up came Vegan Twist. I've wanted to try Pizza Twist for a while but didn't get the chance before my diet switch. The pizzas that were displayed looked absolutely amazing! I quickly decided on the Vegan Bombay Garlic Chicken with medium spice. It arrived quickly and I immediately sat down to give it a try. Now I'd been working all day and at 2:30 I probably could have eaten anything and it would taste good but this thing was amazing. It looked as good as the pictures and it tastebeven better. The crust was good , the garlic sauce was great, the cilantro, the whole thing, amazing. There was an imitation chicken that wasn't needed but was good. It looked like tofu squares but had a fiber texture like chicken. It was good, again would have been great without it but it probably has protein. Okay so, this is a bonkers Indian/Italian/fast food fusion place that legit nobody asked for but everybody needs to try out at least once. Real glad I got to try it on the only night I was in sactown.

The interior is like a retro future 80s teen show cafe, but there's late 90s hip hop videos in low def on the TV screens(!?). Service was very nice and everyone was friendly. I had the palaak paneer pasta and woah mama what a savory flavor bomb that was. My friends ordered specialty pizzas which were also p good but like damn that pasta was extraordinary. This ain't fine dining but this WILL scratch an itch you don't know you had

I also ordered a pizza cookie and they didn't have it, so they refunded me and gave me the pizza brownie for free instead. 10/10 would eat here again at like 1am totally blitzed off a jay

Sometimes, we are blessed with a magical thing that the gods don't want us to have, and in that respect pizza twist is as Promethean as they come. Let's just hope no one forces them to put...

I've been here a few times now and have ordered doordash, and the quality varies depending on whose cooking.

The dad is clearly the most skilled and most friendly. He's top tier and someone I'd genuinely become friends with if we met outside of their workplace. The sons can be friendly, but there's one that seems to always purposely mess up my orders? I'm not sure why, and I'll ask next time I go.

The pizza is either missing the toppings or its missing the toppings, and it's completely dry.

I thought it was a mistake the first time, but the next handful seemed intentional. I make sure to tip well, and I'm cordial, I'm not very intimidating considering I'm well below 5 ft. So I'll need to ask what the problem is.
