Went to the "street fair" today and unfortunately there weren't any food options so ended up just eating at the first place we saw. Walked into this place and it was full and food menu seemed decent. So we gave it a shot and wish we hadn't. I would say staff were friendly and they did seat us, a table of 6 with a baby, right away so I will give them that. By the time we ordered food and one of the items arrived was a good 40 minutes and it wasn't till another 10-15 minutes that the rest of the food came out. Food was mediocre. Pizza was a mess to eat, as soon as you picked up a slice all the topping including the cheese just slid right off; nothing special about it, it was the telecaster. Fish tacos were bland and not much flavor. Their lunch special fried chicken should not be a special, seasoning of the breaded chicken nothing special, the buns it came in were not good and too much mustard on the sandwich, sweet potato fries were good. Someone had the eggs Benedict and they said it was good but that was it, they also were starving but I myself didn't try. There was also a combo pizza we had that was just ok. I'm not sure if the women serving us was the only server there but she came to us for orders we were not ready because one person was not at the table came back maybe 5 minutes later and we all ordered, we had asked her for more water and she never came back with water we had to ask someone else. In the whole time it took, 1 hour, for everyone to get all our food not once did she come and check on us or just let us know about the wait for our food. She maybe came up to us one time after food got here and that was it. We were there at least 1.5 hrs and saw our server only 3 times. Would not come here...

Well the food was really good but my server was a bit absent minded, or something. Took about 5 minutes for anyone to talk to me before I was seated. It was pretty busy but for that amount of time to pass before you're even acknowledged by waitstaff isn't normal.

Waitress finally comes over and asks if I'd like to get started with a drink. I said yeah sure ice water w/ lemons please and then I placed my order right away as well. Got the mac 'n cheese w/ prawns & a side of vegetables w/ ranch. It's cool that they have this on the menu. Restaurants be slackin' on the crudités.

She's gone a bit but still no one brought me any water. Maybe it's a California thing? Anyway, I asked the girl who seated me if I could have "one of those," (pointed at a carafe on another table) and she kindly obliged.

Food shows up... delivered by someone else. I eat it. It's great. I ask my server for the check and she takes my card rather promptly. Only time she prompt about anything when money involved. Go figure. Then I ask for a to go box for some of the vegetables I didn't eat . . . nice size portions btw. But she forgets that, too, lol. Sit there for a while, giving her the benefit of the doubt. I see her doing other miscellaneos tasks like refilling the dog water and yeah, I ask her and she totally forgot.

Maybe I was sitting at the forbidden table or something, I don't know. I don't want this one experience to tarnish the reputation of the entire establishment because the food was good and everyone was super nice but yeah anyway...

We’re semi-local and live in Monterey California. We come up to Capitola probably once a month and have walked by this place several times and have never tried it so we thought we’d try it yesterday. They were not busy. We were seated right away took about five minutes for the waitress to come by, and she just asked if we were ready to order. Seemed like we were bothering her. We ordered food and drinks. Unfortunately I spilled my drink and she walked by me two times and did not offer to help clean up. I actually went to the bathroom and got napkins and then my daughter went to the hostess to get more napkins. about 10 minutes later, she walked by and asked if I wanted another drink to which I replied no but my daughter insisted I got another, it was pretty full and she said she’d be back to clean up spill but she never came back, just to collect the bill. The pizza was fine. The sweet potato fries were lukewarm, the blackened chicken salad tasted like something made with taco seasoning from a plastic container you get from Costco. My husband did like the posole. Overall, I wish we had just walked by as we had done in the past, we spent over $100 there and had a bad experience and mediocre food. Oh and y’all need to do something about your acoustics. It was ridiculously loud in there and the restaurant wasn’t even...

The atmosphere is casual so if you're looking for high-quality business environment you're not going to find it here. However the atmosphere is just perfect for this place. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating, and I have never been served something that I didn't think was delicious. In addition they have bourbon Wednesdays. On Wednesdays my wife and I like to eat there and then walk to the Esplanade down in Capitola for the music. You get a flight of wind whiskey...at a reasonable price so you get a chance to try some different types of bourbon rather than the same old thing. They also make a killer old fashioned that has a happy hour special you can't beat. Down below it asks how much we spent...and that it always depends on how much liquor we order. Everything seems reasonable for what it is.

We had a wonderful time today but only have one critique. We paid $35 for a prawn pizza but there were zero prawn’s actually on the pizza. These were all still very small shrimps and while the pizza was very tasty, it is a bit exploitative and misleading to say its a prawn pizza and charge us for the larger prawns but have zero prawns on the actual pizza. Our server/bartender was very kind but I am feeling really put off by this. This is the second restaurant so far we have gone to in santa cruz that advertises and charges for prawns but doesn’t actually serve prawns. These shrimps were 1 inch in size. Prawns are 3 inch or larger in size. Food and drinks were great otherwise.

Bucci's Nachos with carne asada and added guacamole - yum! I loved the chips, they were crispy, light, and tasty. There was just a hint of spice which tasted awesome! And the added jalapeños gave it an extra kick. I opted for no olives as that didn't sound great but aside from those it came with choice of meat, black beans, cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Enough for two people, and filling. You can choose between chicken, asada, carnitas, Al pastor, or I believe they said I could get guac and no meat (since I got meat the added guac was an addition $2) definitely would go back and get them again!
