Sourdough & Co. — Restaurant in California

We were here on August 6th. There is a huge sign on the door that says MASK IS REQUIRED to enter the store. We saw two young guys walking around in the store without a mask. The employees of this store served them without saying anything about the mandatory face covering that they have in place. My husband and an older gentleman draw the employees attention to this issue. The gentleman said that he has high risk of getting Covid and they should have someone that enforces the rules. They said “ it is not required to wear a mask at this store”. The older gentleman pointed at the door and said that “ there is a huge sign on the door stating otherwise” and that they should enforce it. One of the employees said that it’s the manager’s responsibility to enforce it and the manager is not here. Say what??? It is absolutely unacceptable! Many people have serious pre-existing conditions and need to be protected. It is not a big deal to wear a mask to protect each other. Finally, if your store complies with the mandatory mask wearing rule and it is clearly put on the door then ENFORCE IT! Ps: service was extremely slow with 9-10 people being behind the counter working on orders. 32 minute waiting time for...

I have been to a few sourdough & co shops in the past, so when my husband and I saw this one after visiting his grandpa we were so excited to go!.... just to be disgusted and let down. They had 7 lights out and there was an open air vent caked in dust right over the sandwich station. There was also dust caked on the vent above the salad bar.... The food was fine, I had soup & my husband had a sandwich. but we were both a little afraid to eat it after seeing the conditions. they also didn’t ever call our number. We stood there for 10 minutes with our order on the counter. I finally went up and to ask if our food was ready. when I asked the girl if she called us she said yeah, we’re just really quiet. There were maybe 6 people other than us and it was almost dead quiet. The dirty and not well kept store, along with lackluster food and service. We left feeling unimpressed...

We visit sourdough often for our large office lunches on Fridays. They are always super friendly, on time not to mention great food. These guys have taken care of our large orders every time and we never have an issue. We had a little issue today for the first time with some missing items. Instantly they had the missing items made (no questions asked) very apologetic and the owner was in the car delivery those to us immediately. He also added in some extras and a gift card. Absolutely fantastic service even when a mistake was made. I love a business that is quick to say we appreciate our customer's and right the wrong. Mistakes happen and it's nice to see a business provide such great customer service. That is becoming harder to find....
