Bawarchi Indian Cuisine is an absolute must-visit. My recent dining experience at this restaurant was nothing short of spectacular, and it has now firmly secured its place as my top choice for Indian food.
My daughter and I had the pleasure of trying several dishes, including the Tandoori Chicken, Naan bread, and Shrimp Biryani with Basmati Rice, all ordered with an extra kick of spice. From the first bite, it was clear that Bawarchi excels in delivering authentic, flavorful, and expertly crafted dishes.
The Tandoori Chicken was a standout dish. Each piece of chicken was marinated in a rich, aromatic blend of spices and then cooked to perfection in the tandoor. The result was a delightful balance of smoky, spicy, and tangy flavors that tantalized the taste buds. The chicken was bold, had a perfect spicy flavor with notes of smokiness from the tandoor. The spices provide a warm, aromatic kick, while the yogurt marinade adds a tangy richness. The exterior of the chicken has a slight crispness and a deep, reddish-brown color, while the interior remains succulent and flavorful. This dish is a testament to Bawarchi's skill in using traditional cooking techniques to elevate their offerings.
The Garlic Naan bread was the ideal accompaniment to the meal. It was soft, fluffy, and slightly crispy on the edges, with a perfect balance of chewiness. The naan was served warm and had a delightful, slightly buttery flavor with garlic. It was excellent for scooping up the rich, flavorful sauces from the Tandoori Chicken and Shrimp Biryani.
According to my daughter, the Shrimp Biryani was the true highlight of the meal for her. The rice was beautifully spiced and perfectly cooked, with each grain separated and flavorful. The shrimp were plentiful and cooked just right, adding a succulent touch to the aromatic rice. The biryani was layered with spices and herbs, creating a depth of flavor that was both satisfying and complex. The spiciness level was just as she requested, making the dish even more enjoyable. My daughter said it was the best Shrimp Biryani she had ever eaten.
Bawarchi Indian Cuisine impressed me with it's clear passion for authentic Indian cooking. The flavors were vibrant, the spices well-balanced, and the presentation was inviting. Both my daughter and I left with an appreciation for this exceptional restaurant.
I am quite the Foodie and with numerous Indian dining options around the Folsom and Eldorado Hills area, Bawarchi stands out as the best I’ve tried. Their dedication to delivering an authentic, flavorful experience makes it a top choice for anyone craving Indian cuisine. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and can confidently give Bawarchi a...
Read moreIF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, DO NOT EAT HERE! We had gone to dine in with a friend. my wife is allergic to green chilis, so we asked if their Pungalu and it's chutney had any green chilies, the waiter said it did not. We asked them to double check if it or the chutney had it since it would result in a hospital trip if my wife ate it. She went to the counter, then came back and said it did not. We then asked if the biryani had any green chilies. She left and got another waiter. We repeated the process of explaining the allergy and double checking that the Pungalu and chutney didn't have green chilies. He also said it did not have green chilis. We then asked about the biryani and was told it doesn't have green chili, just chili paste. We asked what type of chili paste, he goes, checks, green chili paste "It doesn't have green chili's, just green chili paste" ... Long story short, we order the chicken suka and Pungalu, our friend orders a mutton biryani. When the food came, it arrived sporactically, such as the chicken suka came without the nan we ordered or rice until we asked about it. When the Pungalu came, we luckily noticed that it had chopped green chili in it before my wife took a bite. We brought it to our servers attention, he took the dish and my plate. No apologies, nothing. Later my friend found a whole green chili in the biryani he ordered (note they said it only had green chili paste). After we ate (me and my wife only having chicken suka, white rice and nan), and left, my wife had a minor reaction due to cross contamination. If you or your loved ones have allergies, do not eat here. The staff does not care or believe in allergies. They have officially made it to our banned place list where we will never eat again, and I recommend you...
Read moreWORST PLACE EVER!!!! My family and I walked into the restaurant on the date of OCT.03,2015 waiting to be seated after 10 minutes we were seated outside and the weather made the waiting a little better, when seated I saw a guy named Harris and asked for help. He was very tall guy, with dark black hair, he didn't seem to be Indian, and he was very kind so Harris helped us with the everything and did a Wonderful Job, and right when he left I saw him getting yelled at by who i am guessing was his boss,so this guy is just straight up yelling at Harris in a foreign language and I see poor Harris just standing there looking clueless because he clearly didn't know what the other guy was saying. I just think that that kind of behavior is just RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL and DEFINITELY not needed in such a LOW CLASS RESTAURANT. Never the less when getting ready to go a man with the face appearance of a little boy comes and I was about to personally give him the tip when he said," Our boss doesn't allow us to accept any tips,if you would like to give us a tip it will have to go to the tip jar and the Boss uses it for the restaurant". Last time I checked the tip is supposed to be given to the employees as a reward not for the Boss's expanse to "take care of the restaurants needs". The food was DISGUSTING and tasted like dish washer. My only pleasant memory for this experience was that I HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL HELPER (HARRIS) if you are thinking about going to this "restaurant" I would suggest you think twice because this place is so horrible that i would rather go to MacDonald...
