⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Honest 3-Star Review El Burrito Taqueria in Auburn, CA is in a super convenient location right off the freeway — perfect for travelers with nearby gas stations, grocery stores, and other food spots. We noticed they have a drive-through (which we didn’t realize at first), but we chose to dine inside. The restaurant was very clean and had a clearly displayed menu with plenty of options. We ordered a variety of items to get a feel for the place: • Carne Asada street tacos – Flavor was good, but they were missing the usual extras like lime, radishes, grilled onions, or pickled veggies. Even the cilantro and onions felt a little light. • Bacon breakfast burrito – Yummy! It came packed with rice, beans, eggs, and bacon. • Coctel de Camarones (shrimp cocktail) – A nice option for something refreshing. • Flan – Tasty and held up well as a road trip snack. • Cookie from the counter – Skip it. It looked good but didn’t deliver on flavor. Brownies might be the better choice next time. Customer service was friendly and quick, which we really appreciated. There’s also a nice outdoor seating area if you want to enjoy your meal outside. Overall, this place wasn’t bad, just didn’t quite wow us. I’d probably try another spot first if I’m in the area again, but I wouldn’t completely rule out coming back — especially to try their red snapper dishes next time. PS- Women’s 6 was CLEAN and maintained.

Their carne asada is in my top 3 favorite burritos of all time. And for under $9. Meat is always perfect - I’m very picky in red meat textures and even one unpleasant piece that stands out will make me hesitant of every bite after. And not once have I found any fatty, chewy, “mystery” meat parts. Just perfectly cooked and well cut into even slivers of flavorful carne asada. Equal parts of all fillings — plenty of meat, not overcompensated with rice and bean. Always ready in what seems like under 5min and same perfect burrito every time. Rolled evenly so you get all ingredients start to finish. Soft thin tortilla that’s used completely, so you never get extra tortilla layers of just tortilla at the ends (I almost always have to take off extra tortilla from burritos, not with these). Never gets soggy (even for next day), holds shape without falling apart making a mess, flavorful, moist, delicious. Same speed and quality any time of day, every day and they stay open until very late evening. Can’t say anything about other dishes (except the chicken version of the same burrito - which is very good, but pales in comparison to their carne asada flavor) after trying this burrito I forgot what else I may have tried. For me they may as well have nothing else on the menu. Highly recommended!

First of all, the lady that took our order was the complete opposite of friendly. She acted like we bothered her for some reason even though we had just gotten there. Second of all, my boyfriend ordered a chimichanga burrito. He was very specific with the fact that the only things he wanted on the burrito were meat, rice and lettuce. None of the other stuff. They made it wrong the first time so I brought it to the lady at the front and told her that his meal was wrong. I specified again what he wanted and they made it again. It again, came out wrong. At that point I had already finished my meal, which was NOT very good. We then asked for a refund because his order was still not right and we needed to get on with our day. The lady didn’t say anything to us, just gave us our money back. Which is fine, but she seemed like she was intentionally being rude. When I looked down at the change as we were walking out, I realized that she did not give me the correct amount back. I let it go because she definitely wasn’t happy with us. So we just left. I do not recommend eating here. You’ll likely be very disappointed and...
