I do not like the new owners. I forgot the Cali veggie had mayo, which is odd to put on a sandwich with avocado anyway (it is not listed btw, you're just supposed to remember this like you have nothing else going on in your life). The woman freaked out and acted like it was a big deal to remake it when ✨it wasn't finished✨ before I realized about the mayo. Because it wasn't finished, I didn't freak out and was very patient. She remained high strung and took a long time to make the sandwich, which isn't rocket surgery. It was okay, mainly because I didn't deviate any further from their own template, but her high strung energy and defensiveness over a simple modification in progress (I literally had no other mods except no salt) gives me pause about going back. Your mileage may vary, but I also didn't like that the AC was turned rather low and that they were now playing music, so I ate it outside. I did tip, very visibly since they refuse to put the tip jar right next to the register for some reason (I've suggested this before) and she honestly seemed ungrateful because she "had to start all over" -- for no mayo? You really put it on both sides in the 2 seconds before asking me if I didn't want it? At most you had to discard 1 piece of bread, chill out, honestly! The new owners should hire more efficient and chill staff who can deal with *very minor modifications * rather than wading in waters too big for their britches. Oh yeah, I got mustard too. So 3 small mods that should be quite easy to handle in A SANDWICH SHOP. Again, your mileage may vary, but I don't want to deal with this high strung older woman again. Sorry you bought a franchise and are under $$$ pressure but WE ALL ARE...no one has $ to pay for what they don't want...ease up! Making people feel bad for not getting what they don't want isn't going to make them come back. Truly I wasn't a dick about it, was very patient, and tipped, so idk what you expect of people, maybe put Mayo on the board if this is a real issue for you instead of making passive-aggressive remarks about throwing out a piece of bread, having to start over etc, not like there was a line behind me and not like you were particularly fast! All this to say--TLDR--this place is going downhill under the "new...
Read moreWill no longer be going to this location after being double charged $24.47 & not being refunded; but rather told to take care of it myself with the bank. Both charges (original & duplicate) show as a withdrawal from my bank account & they refuse to refund me for the duplicate charge. Simply outrageous to pay $48.94 for two sandwiches, two chips & a drink!! Customer service is gone here, go to Sandwich Spot, Dad's or Roxy's sandwiches in Sacramento- Togos is slowly turning into Subway. Their off-site sales manager Sara Dirks is of no help, doesn't call or email back and told me to take it up with my bank. Didn't even try to rectify the situation, give me a gift card or anything! A con artist. My Mom went to the first & original location in San Jose, never did she think that they would become as bad as the Arden location. I wouldn't be surprised if this location eventually closes under the new,...
Read moreOrdered some sandwiches for my family, messed up on my sister’s order. When she called, the woman on the phone had an attitude and didn’t even apologize for the mistake, just told us to come back in and they’ll replace it. When I came back in they gave attitude, especially the fat man with a double chin. Reflection at its finest.. I showed them the mistake, they told me to trash a perfectly good sandwich, very wasteful. They also said my sister didn’t mention any specific requests when she did, twice.. Ive worked in customer service, i’m sorry to say but “no she didn’t” isn’t the polite response to solve things.. When they remade it they used spinach that went really bad… Horrible customer service, if you have the time just go to the one...
