Pierre's Bakery Blue Island — Restaurant in Calumet Township

I went in wanting a cake with different color frostings like a cake I saw from Brown Sugar Bakery. They quoted me $160 for a regular round 8 inch cake!!!!! Whoa.... I was about to leave but this place was highly recommended so I decided to just get regular buttercreme.... ok. A yellow cake with chocolate frosting, couldn't be too hard right? When I got the cake it looked amazing but it was crumbly when cut and the taste was horrible. It was not regular chocolate, it was a light chocolate mousse and the taste was just off, the cake, the frosting.... everything. I guess people be running here because they take link but guess what, I'd rather not. Give me something I can eat, all thise decorations don't mean nothing to me. I want my money back. I will just stick with Nothing Bundt Cakes, never had a problem with them, ever. I called them and told them I wasn't happy with my cake. They offered credit towards another order or a replacement. I got the replacement. It was yellow cake with buttercream frosting. The second cake was much better but I just couldn't enjoy it. I like the way they handled my problem but I probably won't go back...

Terrible, dry, not done on the edges, and when it was cut fell apart. The dad purchased an Ice cream cake from this bakery, he went to pick the cake up from this place as soon as he drove off the cake fell apart, took the cake back was told to go purchase a cooler with ice to transport the cake this is what was told to the dad, now that's what he doing an then he called me, WHAT!! that's unexceptable there is no way a ice cream cake should fall apart like that, told him to go back there and tell him what I said no way, so the cake was redone, it was my daughter birthday so no cake on her day, had to go pick up the next day another cake the next day from here the redone cake was very dry and around the outer area the cake was not done and as soon as the cake was cut the whole thing fell apart, I have brought several ice cream cakes NEVER experienced anything so horrible!!! This place never have to worry about my family or myself coming here!! Money wasted!!! Rated a 1 because I was unable to rate...

EVERYTHING at my wedding was beautiful.. EXCEPT the cake!!!! The driver arrived late to the venue with the cake and when she did the cake had huge cracks in it that caused it to lean. The best solution that was given to me was to take the cake (which was already late to an event that would start in 15 minutes) back to the bakery to be repaired or have someone come to the venue and repair it there. Both of which were unreasonable considering my wedding was starting in the next 15 minutes. When I called to complain I was told since I declined the earlier unreasonable options they had offered they would do nothing to compensate me. This was disappointing considering my family has trusted this bakery for years. Needless to say, they ruined an important day and have lost a customer. If you have an important event, like a wedding, please find somewhere else to...
