Unfortunately I was very hopeful, but was disappointed by the overall experience. The first time we tried to come to this cart they had a sign saying they would open at 4pm (despite the time posted on the site). I gave benefit of the doubt that it was during the soft opening period, so we waited some time and tried again. This time they opened at 11:30 (the site say 11, but not a huge deal for me). We ordered the ubiquitous pig (prime brisket, cider barrel pork, Carolina chicken, potato salad, brisket beans, and sweet pickled vegetables) and added a pound of brisket and Cole slaw. Approximately $70. When we picked up the order, all of the sides including the added on purchase was missing. They offered to quickly remedy the situation (one woman even kindly jumped off the register to switch with the person helping us to further help- she explained that the person originally helping us was new). Unfortunately the brisket was very tough and flavorless, with no signs of traditional bbq (smoke ring or any char of any kind). We threw away the majority of this dish. For bbq, many of the meats in the ubiquitous pig were on the drier side. The sides were decent, but not my favorite. I would not recommend or go back. I hate to leave a review like this for a new business, but I wish I had read some of the other reviews before...
Read moreA good BBQ truck that serves various meats in a few different ways. Brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, BBQ chicken and barrel pork served on sandwiches, taco or just in the box. The prices seem sky high because the way menu is layed out, it's easy to miss that all entrees come with a side of either Mac & cheese, beans or cabbage slaw. Taking that into consideration the prices are ok. They give you a pager when you order to let you know when yours is ready. I ordered the Urban Cowboy sandwich which has brisket, sauteed sweet onions, peppadews, provolone, horseradish aioli and sweet Carolina gold sauce. I chose the Mac for my side. The sandwich was good but I wish it didn't have the bit of sweet sauce. My son ordered brisket with Mac. My sandwich was $18. His was $12 yet had more brisket and Mac. His was a better value and didn't have that sweet sauce. His was the winner. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft...
Read moreI hate to leave a negative review on a new food cart and frankly them being so new is why I’m leaving two stars instead of only one. Either they are serving days old brisket or have absolutely no clue how to cook one. This was truly the worst excuse for smoke brisket my wife and I have ever eaten (or didn’t in this case). I’m not even sure this was actually cooked on a smoker for there was no hint of a smoke ring and zero flavor. We questioned whether or not the meat was even seasoned. Tough doesn’t even begin to describe the horrid texture of what we were served. Frankly, at $22 a pound, it was downright insulting. We also were missing all of our sides including the add-ons which isn’t that big of a deal for it was corrected immediately when we brought it to their attention. Again, I hate to leave such a poor review on a new truck but this was the worst BBQ I’ve ever had and most of the food ended up in...
