Shawarma Station — Restaurant in Camas

I love the chicken shawarma wrap - I'll definitely be back for more. That said, we really need to talk about the wrap-cutting situation. The first time I ordered, it came foil-wrapped (great), but it had been sliced in half. This kind of defeats the whole purpose of the "wrap" - one piece remains a nice hand-held meal, while the other turns into a sauce-leaking mess - still delicious, just slightly more effort.

Now, onto my second visit. I ordered the wrap with a side of fries and it came in a plastic container, cut into 4 pieces. Four! At this point, I'm juggling mini-shawarma scrolls, each trying their best to fall apart as I try to eat them. I saved the coveted close-ended piece for last, cherishing its convenience, so precious.

So yeah - delicious, amazing shawarma. Just next time, I'll kindly request they leave the wrap intact, so I can eat it like the glorious vessel it was meant to be. I can understand that cutting it in fourths gives that nice, Instagram-worthy cross-section shot - but I'm here for the flavor and the full wrap experience.

I forgot to take photos..I got the combo beef/chicken shawarma over fries, and added a side of pita bread. This is gyro meat and chicken shawarma with tzatziki and feta. I'm not sure why I expected it to be beef shawarma instead of the gyro meat. They have photos of everything, I just didn't look closely enough. So that mild disappointment was my own fault. I like gyro meat, so it wasn't a big deal. I liked everything, and my husband enjoyed the few bites he tried as well! The fries had some seasoning on them, which was nice, too. That isn't their focus, so I appreciated that they weren't just plain. I was unable to finish those, but I liked them. It was a pretty generous portion of meat, so that was pretty filling. This Mediterranean food cart is the real deal - possibly the best I've ever had the pleasure of visiting! The service is always top-notch, with friendly folks who seem to genuinely care, and the food? Absolutely fantastic! I've been here a few times now, and last night was my latest adventure - although they did accidentally mess up my order. I didn't realize until I got home, but I called them up and left a message, too chill to come back. But the owner called me back within 10 minutes, super sorry and eager to fix the mistake.
