The atmosphere is not top tier, there might be gremlins off in the far corner of the parking lot. But sometimes in life you might have to journey to far off lands to encounter wonderful and unusual things. I got the Sausage Waffle with Gravy and the woman who prepared it was charming and kind, exactly the kind of person you want to have making your food. You know what I mean, surrogate mother kind of stuff. So she hands me this container and I take it over to the table and my first impression was a little underwhelming. It all just looked a little sad there in its little box. Kinda pale and anemic. But then I bit into it… Ok! All is well in waffle land! The tastebuds celebrate! Faith is restored!!! I could live on these! Deep savory flavors explode on my tongue! Evocative memories of childhood rise up like mists from a morning lake. Hello! Waffle! Where have you been all my life?!?! So far each of the food trucks in this barren lot have been great. Making this unlikely spot in the middle of nowhere an absolute DESTINATION! We went after we were told it was a great spot to check out. We went at lunchtime when there were no waiting or lines.

I liked that they had a clean, inviting picnic table in front that we used to eat the food.

We ordered the bravarian cream and strawberry waffle. The strawberries were fresh and sweet. The cream was sweet and creamy. I ordered the turkey blt with the pesto aoili. The bacon was cut up into bits and added to the batter to the waffle. The tomato on my sandwich was fresh, and the spring mix lettuce was nice. I was surprised to see a nice thick piece of carved turkey meat on my sandwich. It was amazing for $12.00. My husband ordered the chicken and waffle, and he wasn't too impressed. The chicken patty didn't look as appetizing as my blt sandwich. He said if we go back, he would order a sandwich like I did.

These waffles are absolutely DELICIOUS. Its really awesome to be a customer of a brand new business. Hello Waffle has been serving at the local Farmer's markets for 3 summers and has recently made the plunge to open up a 5 day a week year round permanent location. The product is phenomenal and they offer gluten free waffles made on dedicated irons and will customize any order. With the move to a permanent location they have expanded their menu to offer espresso drinks as well. Its fantastic to support this family owned business by eating such excellent foods. I just ordered their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake waffle and it was DIVINE.
