Le Bistro Montage Ala Cart is in the Oak Tree Station food cart park. They have a few other carts across the river but now we have one in Washington. They serve Cajun dishes like jambalaya and pro boy sandwiches but mac & cheese is their specialty. Those have a choice of "Additions": CHICKEN, BACON, GATOR, SHRIMP, ANDOUILLE, SPAM. For those with dietary restrictions they have, GLUTEN FREE PENNE , BROCCOLI and JALAPEÑO. I tried the Spold: "Creamy Cajun Spiced" with andouille sausage. My stepson choose the Spicy: "Cajun with an extra kick" with shrimp. Both were very good. His didn't taste spicier...but I bit darker. I'm trying that next time. At first I thought $15 for mac & cheese to be expensive. But the chorus of Le Bistro Montage fans celebrating having one in Camas sold me on giving it a try. It really is great. It is far richer, bolder and more flavorful than anything than comes in a DIY box. We sat in the in-closed seating area and enjoyed beer and cider. In case you haven't been to Oak Tree, the parking can be very challenging. My wife loves pasta. I'm taking her next. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft...

For those who have never had the pleasure, I highly recommend my favorite, the Spold (Spicy + Old) mac, with added pickled jalapenos and andouille sausage! It's been the only thing I have ordered from any of their carts, since their restaurant under the Morrison bridge closed down during COVID. I was devastated at the loss of one of my favorite restaurants, but overjoyed when I learned they had risen from the ashes like a phoenix, and started popping up food carts all over the Portland metro area!
Montage Ala Carte's newest location inside Oak Tree Station in Camas is also the newest operating cart in the pod, serving up some of the best mac and cheese you'll find anywhere in the PNW! And with this new occupant, woe to all the other carts here, because they have just lost a customer! Not because they did anything wrong, but because I just can't bring myself to order...
Read moreI love Oak Tree Station for a variety of choices. This wonderful vendor is a newfound option for me, as someone with a gluten allergy. I saw people mentioning they have gf pasta. The lady who took my order was friendly and knowledgeable. She understood gluten was a health issue for me and stated the chick and gator were breaded, so therefore, not safe additions.
I chose a bacon spole (cajun seasoning), and they are generous on every level. There was plenty of cheese on the delicious sauce, as well as enough to feed a family of four reasonably, or two, for a large meal. I did not get sick.
I photographed it plated, as this was to bring g home. There is no way I could scarf the serving they give myself. It's a delectable plate of satisfaction.
I highly...
