Busy Boys — Restaurant in Cambridge

Finally had the opportunity to try BBs yesterday. My daughter and I decided to try several signature items to really get a sample of what they have. I love food, especially food that I can't just make myself at home. I promise you, I make a mean rice bowl - and I will STILL be returning to BBs for theirs, and often. It was absolutely delicious and such a refreshing, different option for the area. It was clearly freshly prepared, flavorful and the portions were unmatched for the price point. Next was the Busy Burger. Imagine the Big Mac had a sexy older brother. Wiser, more mature. Well seasoned and eager to please without the unnecessary extra bun. You will not be disappointed. I ordered the single and the size was adequate for an adult. Saves room for sides. Finally we tried the Gyro fries. Obviously I couldn't go to a Greek joint and not get something related to Gyros. A fun, youthful twist that marries a traditional Gyro and stadium style cheese fries. They don't skimp on the cheese, either. You will not find a single naked fry in this bowl. You will never need to order extra cheese sauce with these. Phat cheese lovers rejoice, this is our cheese fry.

Now for the criticism. Get a neon "OPEN" sign for the windows. Get one facing each side. I'd have tried the food ages ago if the building didn't appear closed nearly every time I drove by.

Nice place, good service, great decor that relates to the area. I got the double busy Boys burger was good, but the patty reminded me of a McDonald's burger, not sure if it's 100% beef or not. However, the real surprise was the chicken tenders. While the sauce is similar to Canes, (not as much zest, but close and not bad at all), I thought the tenders were actually better than Canes. Seasoning was better, and they were juicy, and they had less breading on them which I wasn't sure I was gonna like, but I actually loved. We’ve been here 3 times and it’s consistently good. We’ve tried a range of the menu and enjoyed everything. Always friendly service. The bowl option is my favorite, and it would be prettier if they added diced tomatoes and onions.

My only complaint, and the reason for removing one star, is that they ask if you want to add a tip with the payment. Sorry, no. Fast food joints need to stop doing this - your employees are not being paid server wages, their rate of pay should be paying them enough to do their job- fast food is a service that doesn’t earn tips, stop trying to make that happen.
