El cabrito Mexican grill — Restaurant in Cambridge

It's a hit or miss. Flavor wise- ALWAYS on point. That said... When they first came to town, I was so excited for Birria tacos. Once I ordered Quesedilla Birria meal (comes with quesadilla, consume to dip, rice and beans) well they instead gave us 2 tacos... only the single tacos... of course we didn't realize until we got home. Wasn't worth turning around and waiting for new food at thst point. Let a month or so go by and ordered again, it was GREAT! We just ordered again yesterday, quesadilla birria again... get home and realize they put no CONSUME on the bag! Whaaaat? I rather the consume (sauce) then the quesadilla! I was mad at this point.. this was after we called, ordered take out then when we got there they acted confused like they'd never taken our order and so we had to wait for them to make it. I'll be fair, 7/10 times it's great but when we pay $50, just to get home and have our order messed up more often then we'd like to gamble... then it's time to leave a review. Food is great, but they need to triple check their orders...

This place was nice. This was my first visit so I am reluctant to give a full review. I had an original burrito with beef. It was big. Too big for the tiny plate it was served on. My food kept falling off. It tasted ok. There's several other locations so you would think that they would pretty much have it down but that's not the case. Seemed like the waitress didn't know the menu or what drinks were available. And speaking of the menu, it was illegible. I understand that it's a printing issue but I probably would have ordered differently had I been able to see what they had. The food is good, which hence gives it the 3 stars at the least. The service is hit and miss. The initial service was not good at all. The male server wanted nothing to do with me, didn’t even greet me at the bar. Luckily a woman was working she promptly got me water and a menu, and my drink and food.
