I am writing to share a concerning experience my friend and I had at your establishment recently. My friend, who is a person of color, was unfairly reprimanded by one of your employees for supposedly not paying for an $8 slice, despite the fact that payment had already been made.
The situation was not only embarrassing but also unnecessary, as it appears the issue stemmed from your staff failing to provide a receipt. It’s disheartening to see customers being treated this way, especially when the responsibility lies with the staff.
I urge you to address this matter internally, as it reflects poorly on your business. Ensuring your employees are properly trained to handle such situations with professionalism and respect is crucial. Experiences like this can make customers feel unwelcome, which is unfortunate for a business striving to serve the community.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see improvements should we decide to visit again.

Read moreI’m from Chicago and definitely loyal to my deep dish, but I have to say — Joe’s Pizza in Cambridge totally won me over! We stumbled upon it while visiting Harvard and needed a quick lunch. I got a slice of classic cheese, and YUM — it was delicious.
The crust was perfectly crisp, the sauce was flavorful, and the cheese had just the right melt. This is classic New York-style pizza: large, thin triangles that you fold in half. They had tons of options and flavors to choose from. My husband had the pepperoni, and my mom got the Caprese with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil — we all loved our slices.
They serve Coke products (a win in my book), and the location in Harvard Square is perfect for grabbing a quick bite between exploring. Prices felt reasonable, especially for the quality. Plus, the wall covered in celebrity photos adds a cool, fun vibe.
If you’re in the area — especially after walking around campus — I highly recommend stopping in. Even as a die-hard Chicago pizza gal, Joe’s hit the spot!

Read moreVisiting Joe’s Pizza felt like stepping into a classic New York movie scene. The atmosphere has that unmistakable urban charm, with walls covered in photos of celebrities who’ve all taken part in the same ritual: folding a generous slice and enjoying it right there on the sidewalk, almost on the go. That’s part of the magic. The dough is the real highlight: thin, elastic, with just the right crisp on the edges, perfect for folding. The toppings follow the true New York style: simple ingredients, nothing extravagant. It’s not a pizza meant for complex flavors, but rather for living the moment and satisfying your hunger in a straightforward, delicious way. It definitely delivered on what it promises. As a Brazilian tourist, it was fun to feel like I was inside a Hollywood script, and my stop in Harvard was even better thanks to this classic New York slice....
