I would highly recommend Rebekah Brooks Jewelry!! My partner and I visited the Harvard Square location with a family heirloom which we were hoping to turn into a one of a kind engagement ring. Emily was incredibly helpful, personable and professional and assured us that she and the whole team would take special care with such a treasured piece of jewelry. Handing a diamond (that had been in my family for 5 generations) over to someone was not easy, but Emily made me feel safe and cared for :) Rebekah personally called me to discuss my engagement ring and to make a recommendation to have the diamond repaired. She was able to explain the process and give advice without being pushy. I felt a genuine connection over the phone and knew my diamond and this project was placed in the best hands! Rebekah Brooks will now be our family jeweler. I can honestly say that I know we will continue to come back for special pieces whether custom made or not for many years! After we received our engagement rings we knew that we would both be choosing to work with Rebekah (and Emily) for our wedding bands. When COVID closed everything down and our large wedding was cancelled, we knew we still wanted Rebekah Brooks wedding bands. We had a virtual consultation with Rebekah who agin made us both feel incredible comfortable and excited to receive our bands! When my partner's band came in and didn't fit, Emily was able to help us find the right size and had it resized for us very quickly! Lastly, when I was returning my partner's ring for resize, Emily not only immediately recognized me, but asked about how we were doing, and even polished my engagement ring while I was in the shop! When I found a vintage diamond band that I wanted to add to my "stack" but was concerned about pricing, Emily offered to place it on layaway and has stayed in touch to make sure I am comfortable with the process. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Rebekah Brooks team! I have only good things to say about Rebekah Brooks. We went on a whim, but from the minute we walked into the store both my fiancé and I knew this was our place. It has none of the pretentiousness of the Newbury spots we visited, and the Harvard Square store is cozy and intimate. But the best part is the superb staff—in particular Emily, who helped us design a custom engagement ring that exceeded my expectations.

Emily was able to translate my rambling vision into something tangible. She is truly adept at balancing when to offer helpful context and guidance, when to share her opinion, and when to let you come to your own decision. All this allowed me to sort through my thoughts and wants, while ensuring my decisions were well vetted!

She is endlessly patient (we went multiple times and asked a LOT of questions), and best of all, she listens to what you say and helps you understand what it really is you're looking for. She was also honest about what tradeoffs matter and when you can cut corners.

The other notable thing about Rebekah Brooks—besides being a female-owned local business—is the aesthetic and style of the jewelry itself. If you are looking for something dainty and delicate with hints of vintage quality in a modern application, this is your place. (They can do less dainty too, but I found it hard to find other jewelers who achieved this quality.) And if you're on the fence, go in to look firsthand at the jewelry; it was a much different experience seeing it in person versus online, especially as their metals have a really beautiful and unique tone.

It's no surprise that we also got our wedding bands from Rebekah Brooks, and we received the same great customer service. It was so special to have the Rebekah Brooks team on our side throughout this whole journey, and we feel so fortunate to have a place we were able to form a relationship with.

I’m so grateful we ended up at Rebekah Brooks. My partner and I were looking for a local jeweler to set a custom cut stone in a tight timeline, making us feel pretty overwhelmed. When we arrived for our consultation, Gwen had selected some options for us. She never belittled me for not having a diamond, but helped me get excited for the creative process. She sized me(though I did later need to go back in for re-sizing since they didn’t have a 3/4 size to try in the store), talked through some ideas and even made a sketch of what the piece would look like— it ended up being accurate too! I really felt that she was acting as a consultant more than a salesperson, and I appreciated her opinions and advice. It was such a breeze.

Her communication was on point over the next two weeks, letting me know when they’d received the stone, and it was being worked on. The studio manager had to change the design to make sure the stone stayed safe, and she was clear and honest in the reasoning behind that, which I very much appreciated (the change was barely noticeable anyway). The ring was done a week ahead of schedule, and even with the resizing, I was able to receive it by the date that Gwen had originally told me. The craftsmanship is wonderful, I get tons of compliments on it, but most importantly, my partner and I have a beautiful piece to keep forever.
