This past weekend, we chose to visit this popular Vietnamese spot for a special occasion. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by an employee to whom we requested to seat us somewhere quiet with less traffic, since a member of the party has anxiety in crowded spaces. He gave us the option to look around and choose a spot that we'd like for that reason, and this later became our biggest issue.
After we sat down at the table toward the back, we were approached by another employee and then another to verify whether we actually wanted to sit there or if someone coerced us to do so, which was strange. We had to repeat ourselves that we were happy with the table that we chose. Regardless, everything escalated as the same female server came and rudely asked us to move to a different, and "better table" for whatever reason she was trying to explain to us. It was so unprofessional and uncomfortable for us to deal with her confrontation.
Obviously, we were ready to walk out, but another server got the manager involved, who listened and reassured us that we wouldn't be bothered anymore. The server who did take care of our table was great. He provided excellent service, was attentive and apologized for the experience that we had. We considered not tipping for the way we were treated at first, but at the end it did not feel fair to the server, so we still left a good tip on our tab.
Overall, the foods were decent and had generous portions, the restaurant's vibe was cool, but our experience was completely ruined by that one server who kept trying to move us. As a matter of fact, my daughter got severely anxious after her confrontation, and told me the said server was huffing and puffing every time she walked by us after the manager handled the situation. It was outrageous.
NOT RECOMMENDED if you want a nice family time. Put your hard-earned money somewhere else where they could actually get their staff under control and trained to provide good professional service to...
Read moreBelow average vietnamese food in a shabby ambience. That’s still acceptable but the experience we had was terrible.
We were a party of 5 on a free evening (20% occupancy). The server was rude from entry.
First question was is everyone eating? Really? Once we sat down, all 5 members arrived in 10 minutes but the server kept asking where is your party, despite saying they were dead empty because of the music festival. When the server got the food, he literally banged the bowls on our table, spilling all the sauces without apologising, not once, not twice but thrice. When they got the spring roles, we specifically said, please place the gently, and he continued to throw them on. they had at least 20 bottles, 10 soy 10 sriracha sitting on the table next to us. Despite saying we were still using the sauces, he kept taking them away. When we got up paying in full after all complaints, he chased us for not tipping enough. Claiming that we can only get takeout. Mind it, we were dining with elders so we were a quite table, and not a bunch of kids. When I asked to speak with the manager, he started yelling at my guests. I asked the manager to check the cameras for proof of behavior. The server kept yelling creating a scene. This server should be fired immediately. There was another table of known friends who were misbehaved with. I guess no one knows how to be at this restaurant.
By the way, the food was crappy. There are 5 other options in the same food court please spend your...
Read moreZero customer service, downright rude. Came in, just me and they didn't want to seat me at a table. They told me I could sit outside (their restaurant). I decided to order my food to go. It came out quickly. I asked if there was silverware inside, they nodded "yes". I looked inside the bag and saw a cheap plastic fork and spoon. How was I going to cut through a pork chop with that? I sat myself down at a table and asked for a knife, the waitress didn't want to give me one until I explained that I couldn't cut a pork chop with a plastic fork or spoon. I then asked for a fork and she wouldn't give me one. I had to ask 3 times. I sat down and ate. Got myself a glass of water and left the silverware on their dirty cart tray along with my take out bag of trash. The lady at the front tells me "no" and motions for me to take the trash with me. I tell her "no it's your trash" and I start to walk away. She chases after me with the bag and tells me "we don't have trash in here". They're a restaurant and they don't have a trash bin? Ridiculous. I just walked away and will...
