Satellite - Craft Beer, Coffee & Cocktails Served with Burgers and Live Music — Restaurant in Cambridge

I've been to Satellite three times in the last month and have had varying experiences with one common thread. First, their food is wonderful, their cocktails are creative, their beers are actually perfect. During my first visit, I sat at the bar for an early dinner, and the service was sincerely splendid. During my second visit, I attended a dance party with 2 others. We stood by the bar patiently waiting to place drink orders for no fewer than 10 minutes, like we didn't exist as servers and bartenders walked by us, seemingly refusing eye contact. During my third visit, we were seated on the patio in 94 degree heat with two cups of water for three people. and without a drink menu. There was one floating around somewhere, but the server couldn't find one for several minutes after we were seated. We experienced strange pacing of meals. My meal and cocktail were brought out less than 10 minutes after ordering. Perhaps 20 minutes passed before my partner's meal and my son's milk were brought out. It took about 30 minutes for my son's cheese and crackers to hit the table, and after 40 minutes, I asked that his plain cheeseburger be brought out from the kitchen in a to go box since bed time was nigh. I also cancelled an appetizer that hadn't been brought to the table after my partner and I had finished our dinner. The server was apologetic, said he was swamped, and comp'd several aspects of the meal, which felt fair, and I tipped 18% on the full meal. That said, if that was my first experience at Satellite, it would have been my last. If you're not sitting AT the bar, the service level drops off pretty significantly. We were married at Remnant Satellite this Summer, and take our word for it, get married at this beautiful space! From our first meeting until our wedding day, the staff and managers Brittany and Celina were communicative, detail-oriented, and completely invested in throwing us the wedding of our dreams. They were open to our ideas and worked with us to plan every detail of our events, from an outdoor ceremony, an indoor cocktail hour, an outdoor dinner and a rocking dance party. On the day of, everything went smoothly and the staff worked seamlessly with our photo booth team and photographer. The staff jumped into action to solve anything that arose (like a little rain during dinner where everyone was covered or handed an umbrella!), and everything felt well planned and organized. Our guests were so complimentary about the outdoor space, the food, craft beer and cocktails, qnd how friendly and attentive the staff was. As an added bonus, they have the connections to rent the apartment spaces above the bar which made the setup and breakdown a breeze, and we only had to go upstairs to crash afterwards! We’re so grateful to the lovely team at Remnant Satellite for their professionalism, hard-work, and friendliness. We’re so excited to visit often and have such fond memories in a truly lovely space.

I stopped into Satellite for some quick takeout and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. The bratwurst was perfectly seasoned with a nice snap to the casing, full of flavor without being too heavy. The fries, though, really stole the show, they were golden/brown on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and delicious. The service was just as impressive as the food. The servers had a great attitude, friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. Their top-notch customer service made the whole visit feel welcoming and comfortable. To top it off, there was live music being performed by a great band, which created an awesome atmosphere. It was the perfect background to enjoy good food and good vibes.
