Cambridge Public Library - Valente Branch — Attraction in Cambridge

It's a waste of tax payer money and resources.

Accurately represents the modern Cambridge - great facade, hardly usable insides. A front for government overspend with "an attached library".

Half the tiny library space is reserved for children.

Other half has incredibly inefficient table and chair arraignment, seemingly designed to keep the undesirables away.

Then let's add normal chairs and tables so that people can sit and study or work.

Definitely a small library, but a lovely one. The natural light is wonderful here. This definitely works nicely as a local library more than destination library. The kids’ area, between books and a little hangout area, is almost half of the library, but there is still some space to do your own thing. We love this library. CPL librarians are kind and very helpful. The updated architecture provides sufficient sunlight and there is good enough seating spaces available. It's smaller than the main library; however, if something is unavailable, we can always order and pickup.
