Tasty Burger in Boston really lives up to its name. I stopped in recently and honestly, it’s exactly what you want in a good burger joint—no frills, just solid food with a cool, laid-back vibe. The burger I had was cooked just right, juicy but not greasy, and the bun held everything together without falling apart. You can tell they use quality ingredients because the flavors actually stand out, instead of just tasting like another fast-food burger.
The menu has a nice variety without being overwhelming. They keep it simple—burgers, fries, shakes, a couple of extras—but they do each thing really well. I grabbed fries with my burger and they were crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, the kind you actually want to finish instead of leaving behind. I’ve heard good things about their shakes too, so that’s on my list for next time.
The atmosphere is fun and casual, perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or just hanging out for a quick meal. It has that neighborhood spot kind of energy, even though it’s right in Boston where things can feel pretty busy. Service was quick, and everyone working there was easygoing and helpful, which adds to the whole experience. Overall, Tasty Burger is exactly what the name promises: tasty burgers done right. The portions are solid, the prices aren’t bad for Boston, and the food is worth the trip. If you’re in the city and craving a good burger without all the fuss, this is a spot you’ll want...
Read moreThe service sucks! The servers need alot of training on how to greet the customers and take orders. My friends and i always come here but the past two times that we came it was horrible!! First time was a bit crowded so we were understanding cause it was busy. But tonight, boyfriend and i walked in downstairs seated ourselves and waited 20 minutes for someone to approach us..they kept ignoring us. And when my boyfriend approached a server who was wearing tasty burger t-shirt who was behind the bar.. he said i dont even work here. The girl who finally brought our menus was so miserable made me want to cry. If youre that miserable at your job. Dont work here!!! Waited another 20 minutes for a glass of water that doesn't even have a straw and the way she put it on the table was so aggressive. Its 12:24 am right now they close at 2:30..but they already put up the chairs downstairs and put the rope divider... whoever the owner is.. you need to train your employees! My family owns a restaurant too, and they would never be hired with this attitude over there! The food is good.. but you're losing customers over your employees attitudes. Also.. theyve been out of oniom rings the past month...
Read moreI'm a fan of Tasty Burger's latest spot in Harvard Square. Not only are their potentially life-saving burgers available until the wee hour of 4AM upstairs, it's prime location and awesome downstairs bar make it a spot that I'll certainly find myself at again. On my first visit, I popped in at 3AM when (what seemed like) the entire population of Harvard Square was trying to drunkenly order burgers. The burgers were still hot and tasty after our quick trip home: melty cheese, crisp lettuce on medium-well patties. Meanwhile, the lunch experience I had was an entirely different animal. On a Tuesday, the bar downstairs was the perfect oasis to nosh on a burger, play some pool, listen to the jukebox and enjoy geeky conversation with friends. Perks? Gorgonzola burger, FREE wi-fi and super friendly staff. Lowlights? My root beer float was somewhat thin. However, I can't wait to go back and kick back a few local craft brews while enjoying those tasty burgers...
