I create a lot of reviews and I have needed to do one for The Cheesecake Factory for sometime.
Our visit there Sat. evening Dec. 7th was awesome...as usual.
First off you will see other negative reviews about the expansive menu offerings...to those people I say go eat at McDonald's. Who doesn't appreciate variety? The Cheesecake Factory is perhaps the tops on variety.
So our evening meal was excellent as usual. Short wait to be seated. Table service and ordering time was quick. Meals to our table were the usual wait during busy dinner hour.
Now come the props...our server, Nicayla A. was on top of her game. Very nice and menu knowledgeable.
While stopping on her way by to check if everything was to our liking with the just arrived dinner plates, an empty wine glass fell off of her server tray onto our table; causing it to shatter everywhere and all over us, the food and drinks.
Without a hiccup she checked to see if we were OK...she even checked the group sitting behind her! She grabbed help from other servers...I don't have their names but they were just as efficient.
All told it took 15 mins to clean up, reset the table and have all of our drinks and fresh dinners in front of us again. Now that is impressive.
The manager Chris came over to check as well and oversee the event...I say "event" because just about anywhere else that would have been a DISASTER!
They offered to comp the meals and we said no due to the fact it was really a minor inconvenience due to their quick response.
Now the dinner...fresh bread and butter...yum! I started with a small dinner salad. Very tasty with good variety of veggies...try the Blue Cheese dressing. I say it is one the best!
We tried the Chicken Parm Pizza Style and Parmesan Herb Crusted Chix. Both excellent. What a touch of Alfredo Angel Hair topper on the Chix Parm Pizza Style. See the pics. (fyi...try the Brick Chicken...crazy good)
Now dessert...you guessed it CHEESECAKE! w/hot coffee.
White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle...delish!
Dulce De Leche Caramel...decadent.
And for the party at home...CINNABON Cinnamon Swirl...cream cheese frosting...divine!
This chain has never let me down and I have visited many all over the Northeast US and beyond.
Do yourself a favor and anyone you want to impress, get out and experience this chain soon!
P.s...they still comped 2 of our cheesecake selections on the final check...call it "Good Business" which...
Read moreReally hate giving bad reviews but felt had to report our experience at lunch today. Made worse because it was our last meal in Cambridge before heading back to the UK.
We visited at around 115 pm restaurant looked pretty quiet with lots of empty tables so we were suprised when the lady at the front desk said they did not have a table for 2 available and basically gave the impression she wanted us to leave. I asked how long for a table and she said 15 to 20 minutes. So we said we wanted to put our name down and that we would be back in 10 minutes. Something seemed a little off and the welcome was not at all friendly.
When we got back there were two groups in front of us the same lady was seating the first group returned and then immediately started to seat the second group without acknowledging us or making any eye contact. Even when she got back to her post she did not even look up.
We therefore found another staff member and explained that we were told they had no tables she looked suprised and seated us a minute later.
After that the service was all good. We had a view of the front desk from our table and every walk in was seated immediately whether couples or larger groups.
We then saw an Indian couple walk up and the same lady spoke to them for a few minutes and we then saw them walk away. We are not sure what the conversation was about but everyone else had been seated with no problem. We did not see them return again for the next hour while we were having our meals so it seems they were turned away.
At this point we felt we had to say something so asked to speak to the manager and explained what had happened. The manager was very apologetic and said he would investigate. He was also shocked that we had been told they could not seat a table of 2. We got an apology but no explanation.
If anyone has had a similar experience with this staff member would be interested in hearing about this. I did not get a name but she was short, long black hair and a little plump with a permanent scowl on her face.
Rest of the staff and the manager were fine. We enjoyed our meal and left a generous tip but don't think we will be hurrying back to this branch again.
If the restaurant can offer any logical explanation for what happened to us on this occasion we would be very interested to hear this whether in response to this review...

In addition to its regular dining menu, the company offers a lower-calorie menu that includes salads, burgers, sandwiches, and small plates. The brunch menu is offered on Saturdays and Sundays and includes pancakes, waffles, French toast, and eggs. The dessert menu offers 37 cheesecake flavors and cakes, milkshakes, and specialty and ice cream desserts. Per a company spokesperson, the restaurant sells almost 35 million slices of cheesecake annually. The more than 250 menu items are all made from scratch to order. The Cheesecake Factory has been criticized for featuring large servings of high-calorie and high-fat foods and a lack of healthy menu options. For these reasons, the chain was dubbed the "worst family restaurant in America" for 2010 by Men's Health magazine. The average sandwich at the restaurant contains 1,400 calories. In 2013, the Center for Science in the Public Interest gave a better understanding toward some of the food found at the Cheesecake Factory, including the "Crispy Chicken Costoletta" that has more calories (2,610) than a 12-piece bucket of fried chicken from KFC and the Cheesecake Factory's "Bistro Shrimp Pasta" dish, which had more calories than any other entrée from a national chain restaurant at 3,120 calories, with 89 grams of saturated fat. The United States Department of Agriculture's Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion states in its dietary guidelines that a typical female adult should consume about 2,000 calories (males 2,500) and no more than 10% of saturated fat per day. In an attempt to offer healthier, lower-calorie meal options, the Cheesecake Factory created a "Skinnylicious" menu that features a variety of cocktails, salads, appetizers, and specialty dishes such as lemon-garlic shrimp and...
