My husband and I had to come to Boston because a family member was in the hospital. When we arrived we were greeted by Joyce, one of the managers of the hotel. She searched for or reservation, which she could not find because our names were spelt completely wrong, but she helped us get into a room none the less. She finally found our original reservation and canceled it with no additional charges, and matched all the pricing to make sure there was no issues. For the remainder of our 5 day stay she checked up on us and made us feel comfortable at any chance she got.
At the restaurant, there were two servers, Jaqueline and Teresa who went above and beyond with their services to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Jaqueline was the first server we had and she was so nice and cheerful. She made us feel right at home and had wonderful conversation. The second server we had was Teresa, and she served us when our family came to visit. Just like Jaqueline, she was cheerful, great conversation and a sense of humor. Both of them were in rotation during our stay and both checked up on us at any available chance.
The room was good but nothing spectacular. We needed an ADA room, which they were able to provide. The shower was a walk in style with a built in ADA seat and plenty of hand rails to make for form and function. The room was on the 1st floor, which is down about a half level from the lobby. The room was surrounded by staff quarters, which made for some noise but not over powering. With our rooms being so low, there was no view beyond the garden, but from my understanding there are some room with great views of the Charles. The room has automated shades which for some reason would open at strange times. Unfortunately there was nothing I could do about this, and in the grand scheme on things and our situation, we were thankful we could find a place with less than 1 day notice. The convenience of being so close to Mass General Hospital made daily traveling easy, and outside of the hotel restaurant, there were plenty of other options in the area.
We would definitely stay here again, but hopefully on better circumstances the next time around, and with time to make sure we could have a better room. Hopefully on our next visit we get the same staff too, they really made our stay very special even though we were here primarily for...

Read moreIt is impossible to truly express the experience that is staying at the Whitney. I have stayed in nine major Boston hotels, and the Whitney is the one that stands above all.
Upon arrival, it was immediately noticed that my hands were full and I had a dog, and like magic, the door opened automatically, my arrival anticipated and seen from dozens of feet away. I was greeted by Kamel, who informed me that I had been upgraded to a suite. He was incredible kind, professional, and welcoming, and I knew that I had made the right choice. His team, Jac and Mabelin, assisted me further, greeted my sweet little dog, and checked me in. The complimentary box of water was very appreciated.
My room was more than I could have hoped for. A top floor suite with corner windows outlooking the T and the Charles River. The room boasted a sitting room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and several amenities. A bed and food bowls, as well as treats and doggy bags were waiting our arrival. It was such a beautiful touch and made me feel as though my pup was also a guest.
The room boasted a Nespresso coffee corner, wonderful linens, a selection of snacks, wine and alcohol to purchase should I choose, and wonderful shower products. All the plugs were perfectly positioned, and there wasn't a single need that went unanticipated.
I slept extremely well in the quiet of my room, and I can tell you that my dog slept even better. When coming and going, the door was always opened for me, and I was greeted warmly.
I regret that my stay was only two nights, but I know that when I return to Boston, it will be...
