This was my first visit to Water Street and I'll be back! It's a great spot with terrific views of the Delaware River and Philly skyline. The food was delicious. Our group ordered a variety of entrees and everyone was happy with the flavors and portion size. The one shared criticism was the temperature of the food. Everything was warm, but nothing was hot. The restaurant has a sleek, modern feel with high ceilings. The view can't be beat. We were not able to take advantage of the patio due to the weather. I'll be back on a warm, dry evening to enjoy a cocktail, watch the boat traffic and sunset. The temperature in the restaurant was quite chilly. Though it was cool outdoors, the air conditioning was blasting. The absolute highlight of our visit was our waitress, Leighasia. From start to finish she was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Two members of our group of eight were delayed and arrived 30 minutes late. Leighasia kept us busy with drinks and appetizers while we waited. We were never rushed, though we did linger, as old friends usually do. I recommend a visit to Water Street for breakfast or "lunner". Be sure to ask for Leighasia and you won't be...
Read moreCame here around 1050am excited that their menu said that breakfast ended at 11 and lunch started at 11am because one person in our group wanted breakfast and the other lunch. The gal that wanted breakfast ordered and I told the waitress I was going to wait until 11 to order lunch and she said "ok". She comes back with my friends breakfast then said that lunch doesn't start until 12pm even though the menu said it starts at 11am. ... I said, okay fine, can I grab breakfast quick and she said no because they're no longer serving breakfast. I said "so you just don't serve food for an hour?" And she explained the kitchen staff switched their kitchen over. She then said that she'd try to put in my breakfast order and I heard her say "I'm sorry, she didn't know" (blaming me for the late order when she clearly knew I wanted lunch) ... Anyways, I was charged $14 for a mediocre waffle and got blamed for their lack of communication and misinformation on multiple menus....

I stood for 25 minutes at the bar and NO ONE came over to ask if I wanted food or drinks. Very disappointed in this restaurant. I think I’ll be changing hotels next year and taking all my colleagues with me. Went to Victor’s Resturant that is walking distance from this pitiful mess of a restaurant.
(Previous message) I stay 4 weeks annually (6th year) in the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel where this restaurant resides and rarely go for entertainment and food because of poor service. Unfortunately, the service is below par and the food is hit or miss morning and night. The atmosphere is all about loud music when they have live music and dividing news shows. I DO NOT want to spend over $100 to watch news about death and mayhem and listen to loud hippy music. Think I’ll switch hotel next time. Letting the managers...
