I wouldn’t recommend this experience. The boat ride was enjoyable. The dj saved everything. The music was on point. We danced and enjoyed our time. However there lacked some consistency in what was advertised. My first issue was there were kids allowed on the brunch tour. When I plan adult things, the last thing I want to see are kids. At one point, one of the kids was screaming crying for a good amount of time. I was annoyed. The boat wasn’t crowded so Im guessing the company got desperate for attendance but that was not ok. Also we didn’t depart on time. Not sure what the delay was for but we left 15 minutes late and nothing was mentioned about it. The dress code stated in the faqs were not enforced. If we can wear whatever, say that but don’t put “Sundays best” and ppl are on the boat in crocs and keds. The AC and fans made the heat tolerable but it was a sweat box. I could see why ppl enjoyed their time here, its really about who you come with that makes this experience but the brunch was comparable to a 3 star hotel buffet breakfast and Im good on that.

The Ben Franklin Yacht Mimosa Cruise was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Philly and I’ve been here for 8 years. The sax player with the dj brought a magical energy. They played all the best hip hop throwback mixed with today’s top hits. My only complaint is that I couldn’t take a break from dancing because I was afraid of missing a minute of it. The bartenders, especially Tony, were generous and worked tirelessly to ensure we never waited for a drink. I honestly felt like we left Philadelphia for two hours and I’ve never been so disappointed as I was when it ended. This was more than 5 stars and if you’re debating buying a ticket—this is your sign to do it.

Amazing trip, they start on a Sunday a little after 7 we started from Franklin bridge all the way down to south Philadelphia along the river lots of history places and things to look at also they provided little salad bar and some fruit bar as well the trip last about 90 minutes the yacht has 3 floors and different corners where you can view all sides of the river, it was worth it definitely will be back.

I would have given them a 10 if I could have. This was a gift from my sister. The 4 of us came for a nice night out. Warm and welcoming captain and crew. They couldn’t do enough for you. The salad and fresh cut fruit and cheeses with pepperoni and stuffed ? were fresh, tasty, well presented and certainly enough to fill you. They replenished and even announced when last refills were being served. From the captain to the wait staff and Mr Bass, everyone was most gracious and accommodating. (Right down to a hot coffee request which wasn’t on the menu.). There were 150 guests on this Groupon charter and we still had the 2nd deck with dance floor almost to ourselves . The history given by the captain on the way down was informative and interesting and the music played on the way back by the dj was great and volume just right so you could still speak with your party without shouting. The views were breathtaking and I have lovely photos to celebrate our outing. Many photos frame worthy; especially with the full moon. We could’ve tested out our dance lessons as the dj would’ve played anything had my husband not recently separated his shoulder and wasn’t up to a Tango in a sling. Parking was right at the dock and FREE. Only about 30 yards from the ship. Last minute run to the bathroom before travel left me amazed ...it was super clean and that was after the 90 minute cruise. Thank you other guests. The souvenir captain’s hat (only $5.) was a great way to mark a fun time. My husband actually looks pretty super in it. There wasn’t a thing this crew didn’t do to make our night extra special and worth remembering for many years to come. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone at Ben Franklin Yacht. We look forward to a return trip. I’ve already shared photos and excitement over our outing with a dozen neighbors and friends. A super way to celebrate any occasion. A special thanks to my brother in law for driving and for the super gift. Capt. Lucky, you run a top notch ship! Best wishes for...

What a sham! “Captain Lucky” is a total crook! Went to a friend’s 30th birthday party. Was promised the entire second floor of the ship to ourselves, but apparently so were the other four parties on there! So three parties were crammed onto the tiny first floor (definitely way more people than allowed by law in such a small space). There were NOT enough chairs. There was NOT enough space. And “Captain Lucky” didn’t seem phased - he must pull this scam all the time! When asked what the deal was and if we could have more chairs he said “I know what I’m doing. I’ve been doing this for 25 years.” Never saw the chairs we needed though. The cold food was grossly warm. The bar lines were long. And truthfully, the Captain seemed drunk (thankfully not steering the boat from what I could tell).

AND the best part - when we tried to leave at the end of the night, “Captain Lucky” wouldn’t let us off until our friend hosting the party paid the remaining balance! We were literally being held hostage because he doesn’t know how to run a business and we, rightly so, we’re refusing to pay the remainder since he didn’t deliver on anything promised. Plus, he wanted CASH only. Total, absolute scam. Don’t do it. ...
