A friend and I went to the Tavern Grille for lunch around 1:00 p.m. The place was packed. The last time I ate at this establishment was 6 years ago. At that time the food was fantastic! Not so much this time. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip with Lavosh crackers as an appetizer. The crackers amplified the full flavor of the dip. We loved it. That's where the love ended. I ordered a cheeseburger with fry's and havarti cheese. My friend ordered a BLT with avocado and fry's. The cheeseburger was extremely dry with absolutely no flavor in the meat. It tasted charred. The fry's were bland. They didn't even taste like potatoes. My friend said her BLT with avocado was just "alright". She said her sweet potatoe fry's were over cooked and had "no taste". I don't know if the food was sub-par because the restaurant was so busy and the cooks were overwhelmed or if the quality of the food has declined. Or maybe it was a little bit of both. The service was top notch; servers were professional and just friendly enough. After much consideration, I will return to the Tavern Grille to give it the benefit of the doubt. As I said early in this review, 6 years ago the food was fantastic. Let's hope they can duplicate the juicy, flavorful cheeseburger and fry's I had back then!

Disappointed today that the bean and cheese burrito I always order was a bit spicy so I couldn't eat it. It's usually not spicy at all. They make huge burritos! About $16.00 for only 2 burritos (sides and drinks cost extra.) UPDATE: a few days later we returned and tried the 2 soft beef tacos, rice and beans. It was $23.10 for the 2 meals, no drink included. Meal was very good but the beans are just a bit spicy so I can't eat them. There was no waiting in line. The cashier was friendly.

The family that owns/runs this little restaurant are very kind and just all-around great people. The food is good and decently priced. Haven't gotten anything i didn't like. My wife and I like to go on the weekends for menudo and tacos.

I used to be a regular here ( weekly ) tipping and paying in cash even though they have a debit machine but i guess the debit machine is a decoy, seems they'r trying avoid taxes. I will NEVER be back!!! The girl working the front register has now got my order wrong and overcharged me 3 times and did nothing to make it right and gave me a horrible attitude when I came back to get the rest of my order every time! If this is how you treat your regular weekly customers who tip very well and pay cash than you don't deserve to be in business! Better off going to filibertos they're atleast willing to provide a receipt and get your order correct. Never had such rude customer service! DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET THE FOOD THEY PAY FOR! TERRIBLE...

3/18/25 be warned that you will need to pay in cash as their credit card machine is rarely if ever working. I again got the #4 and the meat had no taste. It was very bland. Not even their salsa fixed the taste.

I’m local and this has been one of my favorites places to eat. Lately however, the portions have been skimpy. One of my favorite meals is the #4. The last few times, there’s barely been any meat in the tacos. My latest visit, the rolled tacos barely had any guacamole or cheese. They are also now charging $1 to use a credit card to pay. There are other local options for take out that I will explore. Food still is tasty but just not a good value given the...
