First off, beware, the prices have increased and are not reflected on the web. I understand the need for the increase but the owners should have put that out there. By the way, 3 frozen sysco tenders and what seemed like a mcdonald's small sized fries (cold by the way) are not worth the $2 increase. 9.99?...should be 6.99 at most.
The server was friendly and the building was clean and smelled good. Cook was friendly too. These are my reasons for giving any stars at all.
Food: I asked for sauce on the side on purpose so I could taste what I was smelling. Ribs- you could pull the bone out clean! ๐ no real flavor at all...and I tried to find it ๐ Brisket- what I was served should have never made a brisket plate but instead been chunked for sammiches where sauce could mask the incredible lack of flavor ๐ is there no brine? No rub? The only thing I could taste was meat that's been cooked and sat for a long time and a hint of dry smoke at the end ๐ Pork- best part of the meal ๐ juicy ๐ no in your face flavor though and a little....blah ๐ Sauce- Good sauce ๐ dont use too much though because the vinegar can stand out a little but sauce is always open to interpretation ๐ Biscuit- undercooked and raw looking๐คข it was cooked but barely Beans- cooked well๐ not a lot of flavor again ๐ Jojos potatoes- wedges, and were okay ๐ Didnt get my salad though and we ordered takeout. I called when we got home and discovered the mishap and they awesomely said they'd have it ready but after eating my food, I didnt feel the need to drive back up there.
I dont understand all the 5 stars so maybe I just came on an off day, and perhaps these guys do really good stuff. Today was a big miss though and not...

First red flag upon arrival (should have known) was that there was no barbecue pit going or anything. Usually at barbecue places, they have pits going, this place did not. They were short staffed with only one server/hostess/busser. Though that wasn't her fault running around tending to everyone, it caused a delay ordering. There was no kids menu, but we can make do an adjust and share between our kids. We ended up ordering chicken tenders and fries for the kids and upon first glace, it looked great. But the fries were not salted thus being very bland. And the chicken tenders was meh, nothing special. And my husband and I ordered and shared the barbecue dinner plate- which had ribs, pulled pork, and brisket with a side of cowboy beans, potato salad and a plain side salad. It was all so bland and dry to say the least. There was no sign of at least some salt or pepper on the meat at all. Salt and sauce were needed to make it somewhat edible. We had thought the beans were going to be smoked beans, but it was just plain pinto beans with no salt or seasoning either. The only thing out of meal that was ok, was the potato salad. Oh and my husband saw that they were microwaving the meat, so it was definitely not fresh, and explains why it was so dry. Save your money and go...

We were greeted with a friendly hello, and asked by our waitress/hostess to pick one of the two clean tables and have a seat. Service was friendly, cheerful and we had our beverages in a few minutes. We ordered a brisket with bell pepper sandwich, a fried cod sandwich, cowboy beans and potato salad. The cook-server was pleasant, and delivered the two plates asking if we needed anything else. I removed enough fat to make a small slider sandwich, which I stacked on the side of the entree plate, and surprisingly the fat-laden brisket was tasteless. The BBQ sauce was too sweet for me to attempt to salvage the sandwich. By now it was 3:00... I was hungry. The cod sandwich was bland, but the waitress provided extra sliced lemons. We thought the pinto beans were flavorless but the potato salad was quite good. The sweet ice tea was good, with refills offered frequently. The tea wasnโt too sweet, it was just right... we had a nice closing conversation with the waitress about the upcoming community events. Although we were disappointed with the food, Babes reputation is too good not to try...
