Best L&L in town — I dare someone to fight me on this.
I’ve traveled far and wide through the L&L galaxy — from Milpitas to Mountain View, and I’m telling you, no one’s touching the beef short ribs and garlic shrimp at this W Campbell location. I’ve basically conducted an informal foodie survey at this point, and the verdict is in: W Campbell is king.
Now, let’s talk vibe. If you roll through during lunch rush, just know you’re walking into a WWE Royal Rumble: uncles on Bluetooth, aunties with laser focus, and a sea of regulars who treat the line like a battlefield. It’s chaotic, it’s loud, and honestly? It’s kind of glorious.
The service, however, is a mixed plate. Sometimes you’re blessed with the OG crew — warm, efficient, and respectful. Other times, you’re met with the Queen of Chisme , side-eyeing from the register while giggling with coworkers mid-order like you just walked into their private group chat. I swear I’ve been judged for everything from the way I ordered to the way I inhaled my short ribs and bussed my own table. I left full but wondering, “Was that passive-aggressive… or just the sauce talking?”
To be fair, the food is that good. Like “put up with the sass and still tip” good. So while the front-of-house might need a crash course in aloha spirit, the kitchen stays undefeated.
Pro tip: Order ahead, keep your head down, and don’t take the cashier’s side-eye personally — it just means you’re one of us now.

I come to pick up the food this girl blonde hair short, long nails tells me I ordered it from the wrong Hawaiian L&L so I pulled up my phone and said this you guys right, and the girl with black hair said yes. So I ordered it on the phone with you not long ago. And a male customer comes, sorry you gave me the wrong order my wife ordered chicken, so interjected oh, then that’s my order. And the girl then proceeded to say oh that’s with macaroni, then I said then let me re-order my food. To just move it along, I get no apology from this girl and gives me what the gentleman gave back and remade it with vegetables on the side. Took the order and next thing I know I was paying. She never guides me through their menu. I wanted to order more but she rushed my order. I was even trying to show her on my phone. No care whatsoever. I didn't even get a chance to order a drink. Then I get the audacity to leave a tip. What a slap in the face. Here's my tip : don't hire anyone that doesn't want to work in fast food and doesnt know what customer service is. It's unpleasant, and the customer is left associating the food with the experience.
