Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Canby

I usually don’t leave reviews but I ordered for delivery from this location and it was not great. I understand if the employees are tired or just over it, I get it, but this was just straight up lazy. And to clarify, it’s not like I’m a picky eater, but you can’t tell me it’s not disappointing when you order something specific and you don’t get it, you know? It’s not like I had a complicated order either!

If you refer to the pictures, I ordered very clearly: bowl with white rice, chicken, corn, hot sauce, sour cream, cheese and lettuce. If you look at the other picture, that is VERY obviously not what I ordered. There are clearly beans and (not quite sure which veggies sorry) what looks like fajitas? Regardless what it is, it isn’t what I ordered. (It looks mixed together because I like to shake the bowl with the lid on to mix it up prior to eating it in case you were wondering) I also ordered a tortilla on the side (which I paid for on UberEats) and they didn’t even include that in the bag either.

Next, the chips. I also had ordered chips & queso. Don’t get me wrong, I live 15 minutes from this location so I’d understand if a few of the chips got stale in the car ride but let me tell you ALL of the chips were ENTIRELY stale. Like they’ve been sitting on the shelf for the whole day.

Overall, all the ingredients today were just so bad and they didn’t even TRY to make my order. It just felt like they just threw in whatever they had left. Like I said, I get being tired or something but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

THIS LOCATION SUCKS AVOCADOS! The management at this Canby location needs to get it together. I have been to this new location a few times since they opened and I have been disappointed every time. Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of Chipotle's food and company and have gone there since they opened the first one in Colorado, but this CANBY location is a joke! The customer service is very poor, sometimes taking over 20 minutes before someone acknowledge you are even there. The kitchen looks like a hurricane went through it. You can see the over abundance of bros that were recently hired, snickering in the back like a bunch of kids in a playground, while customers are waiting to be helped. Not to mention when I finally got the food, it looked like a disaster in a diaper, they ran out of items and they forgot the drinks.

To the management, get your staff in check, clean the place up, and teach the children you hired some customer service. It's completely annoying to see a company as established as this one not able to maintain consistency from location to location. You need to fire the general manager and start over. I cannot express how disappointing this location is, I was so excited when they finally opened, only to end up dealing with the very immature staff, worst customer service, and food quality suffering from this location. The location and staff are new, and yes, it shows. However, as someone in customer service myself, I can see the determination of this fresh batch to continue to improve. Chipotle is popular, the food lovers demand high quality, and this location is working hard to improve. Road bumps aside, my order was fresh, tasty, and prepared at the stated time as mentioned in the online app. I got my food, ate it, was pleased, and will continue to go back to this location as I desire for it was a good experience.

Be warned, the lunch rush will be absolutely SLAMMED, until they can iron out the inevitable wrinkles, be cautious of this, yes - but ordering in the app helps immensely on both you and the staffs part.

To the overwhelming negative reviews, people please have a little patience, plan ahead, and honestly ask yourself if you could manage this location better. It's very easy to complain without being in their shoes.

Most importantly, what to take away is that the food is good, and with time improved customer service will arrive. Once they are in their groove it will be as efficient as the other Chipotles; I'm sure those locations you love also struggled at first - just...
