First of all, I should have read the other one star reviews before buying from Post. Live and learn...
I am very reluctant to ever leave anyone a bad review, but I tried to resolve this issue with the shop owner and they had no interest. I bought what was advertised as a âglass and brassâ coffee table from Post. When I saw it in the shop it appeared a bit discolored and as I have never owned any brass furniture, I asked if the metal was indeed brass. The shop owner then went on to explain that the table had come from a very nice estate with only high end furnishings, but since she isnât a âmetal expertâ she could not say for sure. Naively, I admit, I took that to mean that it was most likely brass. I bought the table, my husband loaded it into the car and we drove down the street to stop at another shop. When we parked, we looked at the table in the back of the car and with the sun shining on it, it was very obvious that the table was not brass. Brass plated at best, and the âbrassâ had been mostly polished off of the base, leaving it silver. I felt super bummed out and sick to my stomach, but since we had just left the shop I had some hope that we could return the table and we sent them a message immediately and drove back to Post. They had already left the shop and didnât return our message for hours, only to say that all sales are final, no returns. We expressed disappointment that the table was misrepresented in the ad, to which she responded that she had clearly stated that she wasnât a âmetal expertâ. This is ridiculous, as I am no âmetal expertâ, yet could tell you with 100% certainty that the table is not brass. It just seems like a very dishonest way to run a business and I am leaving this as a warning to you to do business with this shop at your own risk as they appear to have no problem misrepresenting their merchandise. We have decided to keep the table and love it, as it is just an innocent table and had nothing to do with being...
Read morePodunk storefront selling overpriced, dated âfurnishingsâ on their clunky website by funneling traffic through double-posted, misleading ads on Craigslist and OfferUp, displaying their kitschy âPostâ sign on every single piece ad nauseam. I wouldnât be so painfully honest had it not been for Jesseâs painfully lacking customer care. In my world you have to give grace to get it. Youâll see by most of my online reviews that I give credit where it is due. I purchased an ok rattan trunk via Craigslist/her website but never picked it up in the midst of my own extenuating circumstances. I contacted her stating that I need to cancel my âorderâ because driving to Canby for a blanket storage trunk was no longer on my list of priorities. She responded by telling me she would be pocketing a $50 restocking feeâLOL Restocking? It was still in her store for crying out loudâciting a policy tucked away in some elusive place on her website as well as how she âmust stand byâ said policy due to the current circumstances and how it would cost her $50 to hit ârepostâ as if none of us know the drill. She wants to gouge her customers based on the current circumstances? Is that really how she wants to play this? She canât extend grace during these times? I refused to take a loss and throw her fifty bucks of my harder earned moneyâfor what?â and told her to have it ready for pickup as I would be indisposed for an unknown length of time. She proceeded to place it outside on the sidewalk for me to pick up. In summary, this place is laughable and Iâll never again spend my money on funding her cush little three-day workweek slipshod boutique. Unfortunately however I suppose I will forever be plagued by the irritant of her constant presence on my favorite secondhand shopping platforms with those godforsaken picture frame...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience with Jesse from Post Furnishings, and I would buy from here again in a heartbeat!!
T I saw a piece for sale on Craigslist that I absolutely LOVED. I knew I needed the piece, and I was hoping that it was still available. However, I live out of state, which obviously poses a significant problem.
Luckily, I was dealing with a professional. Jesse was responsive to my messages, accommodating about the distance, and incredibly kind while I reached out to contacts in the area and worked to arrange an appropriate pickup. Jesse was patient with me while we messaged back and forth for SIX hours (most sellers would be frustrated and unresponsive after 30 minutes). Once I was able to establish an appropriate arrangement, Jesse emailed me an invoice through the square platform. Payment was simple and straight forward.
This was a 10/10 shopping experience, and I am deeply appreciative of the services offered here at Post Furnishings. Beautiful work, and an excellent...
