Went there last night and I will not be returning. I’m hoping management will see this because some changes need to be made here.
First off, the bathroom was very gross. It was not clean, there were no toilet seat covers, and it everything in there looked dirty.
I didn’t even want to put my baby on the diaper changer or in the baby seat.
Next, I ordered a choco dipped cherry blizzard and instead of putting cherry in my blizzard, they put strawberry. The ice cream was partially melted already instead of being cold and stiff enough to tip upside down or to scoop. The ice cream just kept running off the spoon.
I didn’t even want to ask for a new one and risk one of the employees tampering with my blizzard.
After that, a female employee told us that she was closing the dining room even though it was only 7:25 and they don’t close until 8.
As we were let out of the restaurant shortly after, other people were running up the the door to get in and the employee told them that the dining room was closed even though the sign right in front of them said it was open until 8. It was still about 15-20 minutes before close at this point.
Seems like the employees are getting paid to not work and to just provide poor customer service.
We don’t want to support this location as long as employees are allowed to shut the doors on customers early and be lazy, as long as the cleanliness is lacking, and as long as the ice cream and our orders are not being prepared well.
I already warned my family not to go here either and to just travel out of town for DQ because this experience was enough to make us not...
Read moreWent in tonight around 8:30 pm, yes, I know it is close to closing time but you kids working there need to be a little more attentive. We ordered our food (and your water cups.. well, that's just the dumbest thing I've seen a restaurant do. My husband ordered a drink with his meal and y'all want to charge close to $2 and then give me a 3-5oz cup for me to have water because I don't like Pepsi products! Shame on you! Then look up and see some food that needs to be picked up but no one is saying any numbers, finally my husband walks up there and it turns out it's our food.. now I'm just really disappointed in this DQ.. then we ordered some ice cream, a Salty Carmel Blizzard and a Hot Fudge Sundae, I took a few bites and I asked if he (hubby)would take a bite because it was kinda a different taste, he said his was the same, like it was mixed with whipped cream, wasn't the best but still ate it. We live about 2 miles from there and by the time we got home, hubby was sick, then it dawned on me, it was like the ice cream had been melted and then frozen again. Read moreCanby DQ has gone downhill from what it used to be. Lot of turnover in the employees. Tough to find employees that care about their job at this location. Lot’s of high school/community college types who seem to put socializing first while they go through the motions at work, and their service and quality of their food has reflected it for years now. Typically long waits, and any time you order any Blizzard there larger than a mini, they decide to give you 95% vanilla soft serve with the tiniest amount of whatever specialty ingredients are supposed to be included with that flavor on the very top, so you don’t notice how poor of a job they did until you get home and start stirring. Their fountain drinks taste funky, they give you the tiniest chicken strips I have ever seen, cold and gross tasting fries, and the inside of this location isn’t that clean.
