China Express — Restaurant in Georgia

So terrible. Inedible food. We ordered this randomly on Uber Eats (where they have a rating of 4.2) only because after having our first order cancelled by Uber, this was going to be the next quickest place. Cannot believe this! clearly people who order from Uber Eats have no taste buds. This place is disgusting. The food was horribly bland, and made me question their health rating.

First of all, the soup was literally inedible. We both poured a bowl of the hot and sour, and then dumped it out after tasting it. It was almost as if they had just dumped what was left of the hot and sour and egg drop soup together. There were so many things floating around in it that looked like they didn't belong there.

I tasted one sip of the broth from the wonton soup, but didn't even bother with the dumplings. The broth tasted like hot water, but was a very vibrant, toxic-looking yellow color. I was scared to even cut into the dumpling for fear that it might have some chemicals in it, or something. There's absolutely no explanation of why wonton soup would be pee-colored yellow.

The fried rice had a similar yellow color, which is again difficult to explain. Fried rice should not be yellow. It is white rice, that has been cooked with vegetables, egg, and whatever other meat or ingredients.

The fried chicken, which was supposed to be Hunan chicken, was chewy. and came with no vegetables in it. It also had salted peanuts just dumped on top of it. They tasted like they were completely separate, and had no purpose there.

Because I like vegetables so much, we ordered just cooked vegetables. That was probably the best part of the order, but it was still pretty flavorless.

Aside of the food just being horrible, I greatly questioned the cleanliness of this place. I am comfortable at eating at many hole in the wall restaurants, but this food made me feel gross....

I love Chinese food and just decided to order from this particular restaurant. My boyfriend ordered the butterfly shrimp he got 10 pieces and they were fried very crispy and tasty they were very good. He ordered the jumbo shrimp fried rice , the shrimp were big and he seemed to like it. However that yellow seasoned rice is horrible.

I on the other hand must have ordered the wrong things, I ordered the schezuan chicken and the sauce was not spicy at all and had a very odd taste to it and bland. Please note that the food is very fresh that I received the broccoli was very crisp, the portion sizes big, but the seasoning just wasn't right. So its like your eating poorly seasoned fresh food ....THATS NOT FLAVORED RIGHT... and their fried rice is made with a yellow seasoned rice which is very odd and kind of not good. The hot and sour soup was once again very oddly seasoned. I tried to hook it up with hot sauce, since there was nothing hot and sour about it.. and it just didn't taste good, though it had fresh cabbage and tofu or something.

The only thing really good are the egg rolls...very crispy...not the best but good. I have lost weight and really was excited about ordering this meal, I am so disappointed. I feel like I wasted 36 bucks on this meal, I should have ordered from another restaurant, my first and last order at China Express. It did not satisfy my craving for...

I didn’t realize this was a buffet type place or I would have skipped it. I knew something was up when my food was ready for pick up 5 minutes after I ordered it. I didn’t get white rice as the menu said I would and I wished I would. The yellow rice medley was meh at best and the peas in them had an awful over frozen taste. Also the onion in the rice was not cooked down but instead just raw onion. I got the hunan chicken and I had more veg then meat. Which may have been a blessing since the meat was all tough and chewy. No spicy at all. The chicken lo mein, while not great, was some what decent and the most edible part of my whole meal. The hot and sour soup was very watery so bummer. Won’t ordering from them again......also don’t take grub hub review rates serious ever. Should have known better and looked up reviews...
