I wish I could read it below a one star my husband and I went on a date night last night. It was a Wednesday night. We walked in and one bartender was super friendly and told us to sit wherever we’d like it was busy every table in the dining room was full, and there was only one stroll at the bar available so we waited until a table got up and went and stood next to the dirty table and then sat on the edge of the Booth waiting for somebody to come clean it. Another bartender came over and said it’ll be a few minutes. Never took anything dirty off the table and proceeded to go to another Table that was empty and pre-bus that instead of the table that needed bust where people were sitting at. This bartender then walked past us a total of seven times without taking anything off of the table that we were semi sitting at we waited 22 minutes before we got up and walked out without even a drink or being acknowledged other than the one time. I gave Grace because it was busy, but once this bartender walked past us seven times to totally care less that the table we were sitting at was dirty or that we were waiting for some kind of drinks or menus or anything. We got up and walked out and went somewhere else. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had At a restaurant, we were blatantly ignored. She was serving tables all around us. This bartender look like she hated her life and hated to be there. I would not recommend anybody going to this place until they get a...
Read morePricey (everything is about $2-3 more than what it should be), but a pretty good hole-in-the-wall
The name is misleading considering their lack of knowledge about IBA cocktails (they should be called "The Martini Association" given their focus). On St Patrick's Day I stopped by for an Irish Coffee as a light pick-me-up, but what I got instead was a mug of coffee mixed with a shot of Jameson and Bailey's on the side. Disappointing, but par for the course for Greater Pittsburgh suburban bars.
Today I tried the meatloaf ($14) and a pot of gold martini ($9) since they were still doing St Patrick's Day "deals". The meatloaf was good but reminded me of salisbury steak on top of mashed potatoes with two candied bacon strips on top rather than meatloaf (expected a tomato based sauce rather than gravy). The martini was more of a sugary drink served in a martini glass than an actual martini.
Atmosphere-wise they have some nice garage door-styled windows for air control, and plenty of flat screens featuring sports coverage. There is a small room dedicated to sit-down dining, a bar, and a neat backroom with a shuffle board alongside typical bar games. On average the crowd seemed to be Gen-X aged with some...
Read moreI have been coming to Bar Association for five years and have always enjoyed the environment, food, and drinks. I use to bring people there all the time when they came to visit and would always recommend the location for anyone to try out.
This last time I was there just ruined me as a customer. We were rushed out of our seats by the hostess - who rudely asked us when if we were done because people where waiting - no one had told us about this and we were told when we got there the table had no reservations. Then the people that were waiting for our table walk up to us and rush us out of our seats - again, no one had told us that someone was waiting for our table and we were still ordering food and drinks at this point and were not showing any signs that we were done; but apparently the hostess and waitress would rather rush us out the door than treat us with respect we should have been given as paying customers .
To be treated with us rudeness by the staff - I will not be coming back here as a customer and would not recommend this place to...
