When I tell you this was HANDS DOWN the best and most authentic Chinese food I have ever experienced, I truly mean it. From the first bite of the vegetable spring roll, I knew that I was in for quite the treat. I ordered the sesame chicken dinner, which is often my go to at other chinese restaurants. Admittedly I was a bit skeptical, as in my past experience, I've found chicken from other Chinese restarautns to be chewy, stringy, and just unappetizing. However, I was pleseantly surprised, because this chicken was by far the most tender and juicy fried chicken I have ever had from dare I say any establishment. The sauce they use has just the right amount of sweeteness, not too overwhelming and not too underwhelming either -- a tough balance to strike in my opinion and personal experience with cooking chicken. It's filling and satisfying but not to the extent where you feel sick or gross after finishing your meal. Also, unrelated to the food quality itself, I must add that I have a severe peanut allergy and when I called to explain this, they handled it with such grace and compassion -- immediately reassuring me that there would be no contact with any kind of nut, which was a major relief. To say that this dinner made my day is an understatement. This dinner made my entire life and I can say with full confidence and no doubt whatsoever that I will be back and it will most certainly be sooner rather than later. Canton China Restaurant, you singlehandedly changed my life for the better and huge props to whoever you have cooking that chicken in the back because they did a fantastic job! All around, amazing...
Read moreWe got $30 worth of food and threw it out sadly.
The hot and sour soup took sour to a new extreme. It didn't have the usual ingredients. We ended up not eating it.
I got sesame chicken. The chicken was old and dry. The actual sauce didn't have a taste and made the chicken feel like it had slime covering it. The spring roll was soggy and didn't taste like a spring roll. The rice that came with the combo was crunchy.
My husband got lo mein. It was the Asian noodles with an unidentifiable meat on the top and veggies that you usually don't find in lo mein. The sauce was not the usual brown sauce but a clear slime. My husband couldn't get past bite 2.
Overall it was an awful experience and a waste of money. I would expect most places to be packed at 7pm on a Saturday night but this place was deserted. That should have probably been a clue that if they weren't busy there was probably a good reason.
Edit: My husband asked me to add that it only took them about 7 minutes to get our food to us. He thinks they just warmed everything up instead of...

Canton China Restaurant is hands down the best Chinese food around! My go-to choice is the Sesame Chicken combination with chicken fried rice, and it never disappoints. The meal comes with an egg roll and plum sauce, and I always order extra plum sauce to pour over my rice for that perfect sweet and savory balance.
The food is always freshly cooked, and the portions are generous enough to enjoy again the next day. What really sets them apart is the quality—when you warm up the leftovers, they taste just as good as when they were first served. Even the rice stays moist and flavorful, unlike most places where it dries out if not eaten right away.
Beyond the amazing food, the staff is incredibly welcoming and always remembers me when I call or stop by. Their friendly service makes every visit feel personal. If you're looking for consistently delicious Chinese food with great portions and warm hospitality, Canton China Restaurant is the...
