I thought the workers here were really nice and the food was great until I found a bug (lost photo) smushed into one of my Pad Se Ew noodles. I loved this Thai food place a lot that I ordered take out again months later after the bug incident. I was on my lunch break at work with my Pad Se Ew and took a bite of broccoli and bit down into something hard. I thought I chipped my tooth but once I spit out the broccoli I found a pebble/rock that I bit in half. After work I parked outside the restaurant called the worker to come outside to show them this video of the pebble I found in my food. The man did not believe me that the pebble came from my food. He also stated he can give me a gift card as a refund but no cash back or refund on my card. I stated I did not want to come back after the 2 separate take out orders I’ve encountered & stated “You know I’m a regular customer here & see me often. I came here to show you what I found in my food with proof.” He stated that he still cannot refund my card or provide me cash. He then went inside & thankfully came out with cash as my refund. I did not receive one apology from any of the workers even with VIDEO proof. (The video will not upload).

Knowing the date isn’t going to change anything but the day i bit into the pebbles was October 17th of 2020. I got my Thai food the night before. This was my left overs so i got it when you were obviously open. I wouldn’t just lie and waste my time posting this. I had a man offer me only a coupon or gift card for a refund. He was nice enough to give me cash because i said i wasn’t going to come back. Everything I have stated here is true and I didn’t exaggerate or lie about anything but you have denied everything. Maybe It’s better off for both parties that I go to a different Thai place and not...

I cannot say enough amazing things about Lai Thai! From the moment you step through the door, you’re welcomed with warm smiles and a serene atmosphere that instantly sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

The food is absolutely incredible – every dish is thoughtfully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, bursting with authentic Thai flavors. Their Pad Thai is hands down the best I’ve ever had – perfectly balanced with the right amount of tanginess and sweetness. The green curry is a must-try, with its rich, velvety texture and just the right level of spice.

What truly sets Lai Thai apart is their attention to detail and impeccable service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has an outstanding experience. They are more than happy to make recommendations, accommodate dietary preferences, or customize spice levels to suit your taste.

The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, making it perfect for a date night, family dinner, or even a solo outing if you’re craving comfort food. The restaurant is always clean and beautifully decorated, with little touches that enhance the authenticity of the experience.

I’ve dined here multiple times, and every single visit has been consistently excellent. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Thai food with exceptional service, Lai Thai is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone – you won’t be...

I haven't seen many Thai places in Canton, so I have tried this place a hand full of times. The older woman that waits tables and takes orders has a look on her face most of the time as if she is unhappy to have customers come in. I found it great that they have Thai tea however, again that woman will fill you cup up 50% ice and 50% tea and charges a lot for it. When you ask for no ice so you can actually get what you are paying for and not ice, she seems to get upset, and if you give her the chance she will sneak the ice in. I mean really, is this tea laced with gold or what? Their food varies from day to day. Bottom line I think they they should try harder to keep customers happy enough to make return trips. Last nights food gave my the runs, so I think this will be the last time I will visit them. There is a nice place, were the owners / employees are happy to have customers on Canton Center, North of Ford, I don't remember the name, but they are good, and that's were I will now take my business.

Sorry Lai Thai, you need to do better by...

First time to stop in here and we were very impressed. We started with Crab Rangoons and honestly they may be the best I’ve ever had and I’m only sad I didn’t order another plate! (I didn’t think to snap a picture until we had devoured several) They even smile at you ;) Clearly handmade and not your soggy buffet style Rangoon. Next up was a bowl of Tom Ka Gai. Very delicious and would’ve licked the bowl clean if I wasn’t in a public setting. Finally a plate of Chicken Pad Thai was enjoyed. Good amount of noodles to meat and bean sprouts ratio, as well as peanuts and lime on the side. We also enjoyed a generous serving of Thai Tea. Service was quick and attentive and the prices were reasonable. We’ll definitely be back! I’m anxious to try Khao Soi as I haven’t had it since the last time I was in Chiangmai and it’s hard to find state side . Update: We visited again the other day…still amazing! Had the Khao Soi and it was just amazing. Crab Rangoons were every bit as good as last time. Thai tea was delicious once again.
