Wow! We hadn’t visited in years! In fact, we thought we were at the wrong restaurant because the outside had a complete makeover as did the inside- We were the first to arrive for dinner- They quickly got busy- very clean- modern- almost elegant- Service was very fast- Almost too fast to take our order; considering the menu is quite extensive- Our waiter was nice- - we ordered general Tao, almond chicken, egg drop soup, hot sour soup, spring rolls- Everything came out super fast- My husband really enjoyed the egg drop soup- They quickly got hot sour was ok- It was lukewarm in temp and lacked the peppery sour taste I’m use to- For $5 I wasn’t impressed- The spring rolls were ok- Small and almost $3 not worth the price- The entrees were on point- The best General Tao and by far the best almond chicken we’ve had in the metro Detroit area- BUT my GT was lukewarm— Nothing was hot like it had just been prepared and served- I appreciate that they box the food at your table and not carry it back to the kitchen area- I wish they had pay at your table vs taking your card…We definitely will be back- We will skip the extras and focus on the entrees- The total was $50 not including tip

Man, this place is great! It smells a little iffy the moment you walk into the door, but it's not overpowering and the smell is gone at the reception and dining areas. Service was nice and waiters were understanding of anxiousness and indecisiveness. Everything was clean. You do have to ask what drinks they have if you don't know as there is no section on the menu, but they serve Coca-Cola products. On the menu, spicy options are marked with a star and you say whether you do not want a spicy dish, want a mild dish, want a medium dish, or want a full flavor dish. The food is amazing! I had a medium spicy orange chicken with white rice, an egg roll, and chicken wanton soup. Everything was freshly made and hot. The portion size is large enough that even I as a big person (with an even bigger stomach), had to take some home. The wanton soup tasted a bit fishy, but was very good. The egg roll was the best I've ever had. The outside was thin and crispy, and the inside was hot and delicious. A box and bag were given to take leftover food home on request. Attached is a picture of my orange chicken, but it is mostly eaten.

This is what happens when you order NO baby corn in the barbecue beef, and then you call them to complain, and they hang up on you. This doesn’t even include the five that I threw away. Baby corn was 1/3 of the meal! They don’t seem to care how you want it cooked or what you want. They’re gonna give you what they want to give you! Beware of this place. I disagree with your reply. He offered to replace it if I drove all the way over there and I got a new one. He should have offered a partial refund, or to have a new one delivered. That would have been the proper way to handle this. And the fact that it was cold made me believe that it was made earlier for someone else. If your high school staffer was so uncomfortable with a 64-year-old woman on the phone, complaining about their order, then he should not be in the restaurant business or working for a reputable restaurant! Something was wrong with that order not just the baby corn

Be very careful. I was SERVED RAW CHICKEN twice over today. I have eaten here for years. Always enjoyed the food. It has changed. I ordered almond chicken with the gravy on the side. Thank goodness I asked for it on the side because when I went to fork a slice of chicken it was visibly raw, pink slimy and totally uncooked in the middle. I checked every single piece and it was all the same. I wish I had taken a picture. I flagged the server and showed her what was wrong, she said, and I quote "did you want to order it well done?" WHAT!? We are talking about chicken, it is either cooked or it isn't. She took the plate to fix it. I assumed they would remake the meal since rice and egg roll had touched the raw chicken. NOPE brought me back the same contaminated plate, with the same rice. They seared the edges off on each piece and tossed it back on the plate. The insides were all still entirely raw. They also thought I should use the dirty silverware from the first plate of raw chicken to eat with. Had to ask for new silverware to cut in and check. Had to send it back, this time for good. They then tried to insist on feeding me. In most other situations I would have let them and would not have written this review, but this is a major health and safety issue and people need to know. They also still brought me a check for the 1 egg roll that they gave me on a separate plate and charged me $2.92. Petty. IF YOU EAT HERE,...

**Editing Initial Review. My wife and I have been coming here about once a week for the last 4 to 5 months. The food is ALWAYS amazing. I cant remember even 1 dish that we didn't enjoy. However, there is 1 server that we REALLY don't like. Asian gentleman, middle aged, thin with glasses. He comes off rude and pretty short. He will not hesitate to vacuum around you, count the tip bucket etc. He seems impatient when you are ordering and that's unfortunate. I'm still giving 5 stars because EVERY other employee is pleasant and the food is simply the best we've had in the area. (Plymouth, Canton, Westland) The hosts are friendly and the service is exceptional. (Excluding the Server above) The Latino busser works HARD and seems to be there everytime we are. Back to the server... My wife and I shy away from awkward situations and don't typically like to complain. We've decided to simply say we want a different server if he approaches our table. However, we don't want to hurt his feelings, so we've drawn back our frequency of being there or just switched to carryout. IMO, he represents the place poorly. It seems obvious to me by simply observing him with other guests, that we are not alone in our dislike. This should be corrected. I'm not sure if most patrons would keep coming after dealing with him.

------ Original review...Great experience both times. Their...

This was the first time I had the sweet and sour shrimp, when I got home and opened the sauce it smelled like ketchup and was very gelatinous, the rice was not cooked all the way and the shrimp were very small and loaded with batter, after taking a few bites you could definitely taste the ketchup in the sauce and it was very strange, the menu said it was a citrus sauce which most sweet and sours are made with lemon or vinegar but this was ketchup YUK, the next day I picked up the menu to call and complain and I noticed in bold letters the menu said NO REFUNDS EXCHANGE ONLY, what kind of restaurant would not allow you to get a refund on something that tasted bad and was not as described, When I called I asked to talk to a manager but there was not one available when I explained my issue she asked the chef and he said their sauce is premade. She said would you like me to tell the manager and I said of course she offered no compensation to my complaint. So the only thing that was actually cooked was the rice and it was hard, come on a chinese restaurant charging $14.00 for a dish and everything is delivered pre made, yuk I will never eat here again and will be sure to tell everyone I know about...
