Yesterday I went and placed a order for a pan of ALMOND rice, since my kiddos love it and I do as well, a 1lb & 1/2 bag of the bread, and Greek salad and garlic spread, all because I was making garlic butter chicken and needed sides and figured it would be good for a quick dinner after a week long of unpacking after moving from a bad situation. I get all the way home start my chicken and take the lid off the pan of rice and to my surprise there was NO ALMONDS… 🤬, makes no sense as I clearly stated I wanted almond rice, the bread was hard as well, it irritated me because how can you forget the MAIN ingredient to the dish. So today I took it back after putting it in the refrigerator because I spent about $36.00 for everything … I called ahead to let them know and the lady who answered the phone was like oh we don’t always add almonds because of allergies… which was weird because what’s the point in ordering almond rice if you’re allergic to almonds bffr. So then I told her well if I had allergies I would of mentioned that since that could be life threatening… then I went on to let her know id be bringing it back that we didn’t eat it since it wasn’t what I ordered hoping she’d make it right, instead she responded with uhh let me get someone.. I wait a few minutes abd another girl gets on the phone so I explain what happened blah blah blah and how I wanted to bring it back because we didn’t eat it and id like to replace it since we didn’t and since I paid for it and it wasn’t made correctly. She said so you didn’t eat it because there weren’t any almonds… I said no if I wanted to eat plain white rice I would of made it myself and not ordered what I should’ve gotten to begin with… then she said well what do you want me to do with a attitude I said replace what I paid for as you should do with what I actually ordered. She said okay we will and hung up on me. When I arrived I damn near didn’t even trust that they would give me fresh food but I took the chance since I didn’t feel like arguing about getting my $ back. The girls were texting each other on the phones after I got there and asked for the manager they sent the owner to speak with me. He brought me out the “new” food not sure if it was the same food and they just warmed it up and added almonds but it is what it is he also gave me a free pop and replaced the bread as well after saying he’ll give me some bread on the house as if I didn’t already pay for it lmao. Definitely will take the drive to Ann Arbor for my almond rice and bread from here on forward. Possibly this explains why it’s empty the few times I’ve been there and also after reading the reviews the women that work there might be one of the reasons it’s that way....
Read moreRude, angry, and just not a pleasant place to deal with. When I called the woman who answered the phone had a very short Curt angry attitude immediately after my order was placed she hung up on me not give me my total just click not even a bye. When I arrived to pick up my order same thing rude mean clearly had a bad day but I picked up my order and left nonetheless. When I got home I noticed that even though they gave us the pita bread there was zero garlic to go with it I got five shawarmas a big bag of bread and no garlic paste. I have never heard of such a thing. I've never heard of such a place that does not give you any garlic no matter what however they did have a nice big sign saying that they would charge you for it a dollar for 2 oz absolutely ridiculous. Then you get to the swarmas themselves two pickles at the very beginning two pickles at the very end with a little bit of sauce at the beach location and absolutely nothing in the middle just dry chicken no sauce no lettuce no tomatoes no flavoring no seasoning no nothing just the chicken. Shawarma's are meant to be served with a whole bunch of stuff and that sauce spread out with the pickles aligned so that it covers the entire sandwich not two pickles stacked on top of each other in two separate locations so that it's two bites and you were done with flavor. It is for these reasons that I suggest anyone looking for delicious food courteous service nice attentive waiters and waitresses to avoid this place whether this was a one-time anger issue I can't say for sure however it happened on the phone and in person and then the food was also bad so the cook is in on it as well shame shame too bad for this establishment I do recommend going somewhere else...
Read moreFirst off I’m writing this review on the toilet from getting food poisoning from this restaurant. My wife and I have been here 3 times she got sick the first time I thought it was a fluke. She is sick now and so am I.
The food was very over priced. I got a chicken dinner with rice and a salad it was roughly 20 bucks. It came with about 8 nuggets of chicken dried and lacked flavor.
The pickles were clearly created from the rotten out dated cucumbers they would use in the salad. They were withered and had a strange flavor.
I got the bill for 2 chicken dinners, a chicken shawarma sandwich. 1 bowl of soup and a hummus with veggies and the total was $105. I asked for a side of pickles and the guy charged me $5.75! For pickles…
The bread they brought with the hummus was hard as a rock. My wife asked for fresh bread and the guy said what’s wrong with it it’s fresh. She said it’s hard and cold? He brought more bread most likely from the microwave because he returned to the table within 30 seconds.
They charged me gratuity without telling me and then gave me a slip that asked me to add a tip for more which I did because I did not see the gratuity charge initially. The owners car I presume was parked out front a 2024 corvette. I wonder how he got that? Ripping people off it seems.
Long story short save your money. Save your stomach. I know I will next time I want Mediterranean. There is a place past the Burger King that sells bowls. Go there or go to la shish in the Kroger parking lot down the street. Or drive to Dearborn and get Cedar land. This place will disappoint.
The girl at the front desk was nice though and I do not blame here for the poor management...
